Enchanted Crystal Monthly Review August 2024

Kate Kemp

Enchanted Crystal is a monthly subscription for crystals, hand-picked and uniquely curated to offer a truly enchanted crystal experience.

This box was sent to us free of charge for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.

First Impressions

How cute is the crystal-covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation!

The crystal was carefully packaged: nestled in packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising then, that it arrived in perfect condition.

Enchanted Crystal includes two inserts in their monthly subscription box. The first uses several QR codes to link to various letters on their blog. One links to a letter to new subscribers, another to their Crystal Library and one to the current month’s newsletter.

In the August blog post, Enchanted Crystal hints of exciting changes coming to the look of Enchanted Crystal and their website.

The second insert gives the details of August’s star crystal, a Black Agate Tower. This second insert is wonderful because it gives the background of this fascinating stone. If you lose your insert or you’d like to read it online, the same information can be found in their Crystal Library.

The Crystals

Rose Quartz & Dalmatian Jasper (Bonus Crystals)

Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received in this box were three pieces of Rose Quartz and two pieces of Dalmation Jasper.

The Rose Quartz pieces are utterly gorgeous; they exude a soft aura. “Metaphysically, Rose Quartz is known as the "Love Stone" and is revered for its heart-opening properties. It is celebrated for enhancing emotional healing, attracting new love, and boosting compassion and kindness. The crystal emits vibrations of love, promoting peace, calm, and contentment in healing and meditation practices.”

The other two small stones that I received were Dalmation Jasper. Unfortunately, Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library doesn’t contain a listing for Dalmation Jasper, but I was able to find interesting information about the stone elsewhere. According to the Crystal Council, “Dalmatian Stone raises one’s confidence level and brings it to the forefront, showing you that you are fully in control of your life path. The drive that radiates off this crystal is unprecedented. You will almost immediately sense an overwhelming obsession for accomplishing all your dreams.”

A great start. Now, on to the main event!

Black Agate Tower

The main crystal this month is a Black Agate cut in the shape of a tower. It’s not as black as Obsidian, but there isn’t much visible banding.

According to the Crystal Library, “Black Agate, a variety of banded Chalcedony, forms from silica deposits (primarily quartz) in volcanic rock. Its dark color stems from the large amount of iron oxides included during its slow crystallization. Enchanted Crystal has sourced these varieties from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, an area well known for it's volcanic formations and deposits. While shaped and polished, these are not treated, often done to increase the visibility of agate striping or banding. Because of this, any banding that is visible may be faint or less prevalent than typically seen with agate varieties."

Enchanted Crystal adds, “Metaphysically, Black Agate is considered a stone of protection and strength. It helps alleviate stress by grounding and stabilizing the spirit, and it repels negative energy while promoting emotional stability. This stone is valued for enhancing self-control and fostering inner peace, making it beneficial for meditation and improving mental clarity.”

The Verdict

August’s box contained a nice mix of stones. The Black Agate tower is really striking to look at. The interesting shape and dark color make it really stand out in my collection. The bonus crystals, Rose Quartz and Dalmation Jasper, are as beautiful as they are metaphysically powerful.

If you are interested in crystals, the monthly box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering subscribers receive a large, beautiful crystal (as well as several small bonus ones) and the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.

I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!

No, your first box will be December's box. However, Enchanted Crystal does have an online store that you can visit to browse and purchase stunning specimens that are in stock.
