First Impressions

One of my favorite features of the Ipsy glam bag is the excitement of the bag design. I have been a subscriber for years, and the fun designs (and of course awesome products) leave me coming back for more. This month's bag has a stunning texture and is a great fit for the upcoming November holidays. Donning an edgy snakeskin silver design, this sophisticated bag has a pink lining that works nicely with the outer shell. Gorgeous and fun, I cleaned out my current bag and put my make up in this one for a sweet November treat.

Also included is a product card that features the "Glow Off This Winter" theme, information about the contents of this month's bag, and gift ideas to give for the upcoming holidays!

Now, on to the items!

BYOD Blush Brush - FULL SIZE - Retail Value $18.00

Ipsy must have known that I was in dire need of a new blush brush. I seriously need to get better at taking care of my beauty tools, and my old brush was probably 15 years old. Yikes. This version has a much longer handle, but softer, fluffier bristles. The synthetic fibers work well with all types of blushes and creates a multitude of application trends. I myself appreciate the white bristles to see how much product I have grabbed, and found the size was perfect. I don't use a lot of makeup brushes in my daily routine besides a blush brush, but after using once, I threw my old brush right into the trash.

FIRST AID BEAUTY Bounce Boost Serum - Deluxe Sample - Retail Value $5.00

The next item I received was a deluxe sample of Bounce-Boosting serum complete with collagen and peptides. This light creamy formula is made by one of my favorite brands, and really worked to hydrate and make my skin look vibrant and youthful. Great for all skin types, this worked well on my combination skin, and was fine to apply before my daily makeup, causing no caking or weird application. Gentle and free of heavy scent, this was a great inclusion for November, as the dry air tends to cause my skin to get dry and chapped.

FORMULA Z - Z-Flash Cryo Lift Eye Masks - FULL SIZE - Estimated Value $21.00

The next item I received was actually the one I chose for the month. This set of two eye masks was exactly what the doctor ordered due to lack of sleep lately. Mycoplasma pneumoniae has made its way through our house, but extremely slowly, taking us almost an entire month to recover. The bags under my eyes are real, and I needed these to work. Featuring the coolest silver designs, these eye masks were cooling and hydrating, leaving me looking and feeling refreshed.

Using caffeine and niacinamide, these eye masks help tackle dark circles, fine lines, and swelling for a pretty darn good result. I let them sit for 15 minutes, and my eyes were feeling and looking much better. I'm really excited to have received two of this product because they are helpful, fun, and did create a nice self-care evening for myself after such an unfortunate month!

JUST XIMENA Highlighter - Deluxe Mini

A while back I was on highlighter overload, and all of the ones I owned were extra sparkly and a little too much for me. This version was perfection. A light gold glimmer that is very buildable, this created a subtle look that was appropriate for daily wear.

I typically use highlighter to enhance my blush and eyeshadow, so you can see it here on my cheeks and upper brow bone. I love the neutral color and the light shimmery effect it creates!

LYS BEAUTY - Triple Fix Full Coverage Brightening Concealer - Deluxe Mini - Estimated Value $4.00

To be honest, I was a little hesitant about this last item. When I checked out this month's spoilers, I noticed I had another color match item. The last one I was sent worked pretty well, but two in a row? Could that even be possible? As you can see from the photos, this correcting cream matched pretty darn well. Thick in consistency, this worked well as a concealer, and was very buildable. I've been using a dab under my eyes and it's really helped my overall appearance, so it seems like a keeper!

My skin is definitely in its winter phase, so this month's items were all very helpful in keeping my skin as healthy as I can. I loved the moisturizer, highlighter, concealer, brush, and eye masks. All five items were a great fit for me, and I have been using everything daily!

Verdict

I love Ipsy Glam Bag and am always excited to try out new beauty products. While I have brands that I adore, I am an equal opportunity makeup/skincare user, and love seeing if my current faves can be outdone. This month I absolutely loved all five items, and have been incorporating them into my daily routine. For $14, 5/5 is fantastic, and I am absolutely obsessed with the highlighter!
