The November 2024 Box
As a beauty enthusiast, I have been a subscriber to a slew of make-up boxes. But Medusa's Make-Up is still pretty new to me. When the opportunity to review this box arose, I jumped at the chance, and couldn't wait to see what it was all about. After my first box, I became obsessed - so what does November's box have in store?! Read below to find out!
Packaged in a pretty pink foil mailer, it was love at first sight! Adorned with sweet script and adorable make-up clip art, this subscription is already one of my faves! (And check out this cute clear bubble bag - I love these things for travel!!)
To start off the box, we received an info card that details the contents of the box, along with their retail values. This card is giving off gorgeous autumn vibes, and I am sooo here for it!
Sweet Dreams Facial Serum - Listed Value $22.00
The first item I received was a 15 mL bottle of facial serum. This serum was created with grapeseed oil and essential oils. Honestly, it smelled exactly like olive oil to me, with no lavender or night time extras to be noted. I have extremely acne prone skin, so face oils are a definite no for me, but I did use this product to hydrate my legs. After shaving this felt great on my skin, and added a protective layer to my dry fall legs. While nothing spectacular, I will use this bottle in its entirety, but not for the purpose it was created.
BONUS - Sleep Mask - Listed Value $6.00
As a little girl, I always wanted a sleep mask because the movies made them look so cool. I have never had the opportunity to try one until now, and found it just isn't my thing! Black and satin in design, this mask not only covers your eyes, but has a comfortable piece of fabric around the nose as well. The elastic fit fine, but the overall feel just wasn't for me. Maybe in a hotel room or while traveling by car this might come in handy, but for everyday use I just don't have a need. My kids thought it was fun to play with though!
MABOX Eyeshadow Pen – Listed Value $13.00
I am all about eyeshadow, and I was excited to try this eyeshadow pen. The gold shimmery color was the perfect color for my crease, and it went on nicely. I also enjoyed the inclusion of the brush. This was a great base layer for a darker eyeshadow color as well, as it was slightly sticky, but didn't crease. The only qualm I had about this pen was the fact that it's all over Temu and Amazon for extremely cheap. But besides that, I found it useful and pretty!
Medusa's Shimmer Eyeshadow Chakra – Listed Value $12
Even though I'm 36, I love glitter! This glitter eyeshadow is the prettiest mix of goldy bronze, and livens up any makeup look. I always add a little gold glitter to my smokey eye routine, and while this is a little more coarse than what I typically use, love the instant sparkle it brings to my eyes. Also a nice addition to the lids, I am loving this eyeshadow, and would be a-okay receiving more in varying shades!
Here you can see the eyeshadow pen in my crease, and the shimmer eyeshadow along my bottom lashes and on my lids. (Snow is in the forecast, so I took out my fluffy hat I purchased at an antique store years ago - my husband thinks it's a little ridiculous, but I love it!!)
Professional Makeup Lipstick – Listed Value $14
When it comes to fall, I usually lean towards dark lippies, but this month we received a bright one. Pretty in pinkish peach, this is a color I would usually save for spring, but decided to try it out anyways. The staying power was decent, and I do enjoy this method of application and storage as it doesn't take up too much room in my purse. Overall, it was decent, though I would have rather had a deep plum or burgundy color to fit more in with the season.
Peach is a pretty color, but one that I find more appealing on my summer skin rather than my winter tone. Oh well, I'm a fan anyways!
Medusa's Tinted Lip Balm - Spicy – Listed Value $12
The last item we received was a tinted lip balm. Eerily similar to the lipstick we received, this is really just a lighter version. The peachy pink added a little gloss to my lips and again was a little more spring-like than my usual fall go-to, but it seemed to work pretty well. Since it is a balm, re-application is necessary, but the tube applicator makes it easy for on the go.
Here's that silly hat again, with the lip balm on for good luck. Also, say hello to Ms. Miley! Her 16th birthday is coming up soon! ❤️
The Verdict
This month's curation of Medusa's Make-Up was pretty good. I really enjoyed the shimmer eyeshadow, eyeshadow pen, lip stick, and lip balm, but do wish the lippies would have been a deeper hue. The eye mask wasn't really a necessity for me, but was fun for the kids, and the facial serum just doesn't work for my face skin, but I'll use it elsewhere. Overall, I thought this was a nice curation and can't wait to add all the glitter to my upcoming holiday looks! What was your favorite item in this month's bag? Let me know in the comments below.

To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the December box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.
Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $79.00 worth of items this month, which is more than three times the cost of the box! That's definitely a good value for $22.95!
