This month’s BomiBox Luxe brought us a theme I live for: exfoliating and hydrating. It’s a perfect pairing for winter—when our skin is drier, the sun is gentler, and those harsh treatments don’t feel like such a risk. So, did these products deliver the “renewed” glow they promised? Let’s break it down!

First Impressions
They keep winning at the packaging game. The box inside the sleeve is perfect because it no longer arrives dirty or damaged. And I do appreciate the paper tissue inside to prevent these items from moving.
What’s Inside:
Benton PHA Peeling Gel (70ml) – Retail Value $16
This classic gommage exfoliator is all about that surface-level glow. You rub it on dry skin, and voilà—dead skin and product clump together into those satisfying little rolls. It’s ideal for sensitive skin since it doesn’t penetrate too deeply, and there’s no worry about post-use irritation or photosensitivity. I love using gommage exfoliants like this before makeup to get that smooth-as-glass application. That said, while it’s a solid product, it didn’t blow me away.
COSRX Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream (80g) – Retail Value $26
COSRX calls this lightweight. Lies. This is a rich balm that hydrates deeply without leaving a greasy residue. It’s a godsend for dry, irritated skin—think harsh winters or post-breakout redness. For me, it’s perfect as a nighttime face cream after retinol nights or even as a luxurious body cream if your face finds it a bit too rich.
Heimish RX AHA BHA Enzyme Scrub (130ml) – Retail Value $18
This is a gentle scrub but with AHA, BHA and enzymes for a super-gentle cleanse that decongests pores. Its texture is similar to the Benton peeling gel, but this one edges ahead for me. I just feel like it does a better job at decongesting. Having said that, I wouldn’t use this daily, 2-3 times a week max.
Mary & May Mini Vegan Low pH Hyaluronic Gel to Foam Cleanser (30ml) – Retail Value $5.35
Low-pH cleansers can sometimes feel stripping for me, but this one? Not bad! The hyaluronic acid adds a nice hit of hydration, so I get why they pair it with the exfoliants here. I wouldn’t say this has revolutionized my cleansing routine, but it’s light and effective, so I appreciated it.
Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner (30ml) – Retail Value $5
Full disclosure: Pyunkang Yul and I have a complicated relationship. But this essence toner surprised me. It’s fragrance-free, with a thick texture that feels lovely on the skin. Layering it with a hydrating toner really amps up the hydration, though on its own, it’s just... okay. Would I grab the full-size? Probably not. But it’s a great travel buddy if you need a lightweight, soothing essence.
Farmstay Renew Pink Flower Blooming Hand Cream – Retail Value $5
This little hand cream is an absolute joy. The cherry blossom scent is soft and elegant, while the texture is rich without being greasy. It’s one of those products you’ll want to keep everywhere—your bag, your desk, your nightstand. Mine is on my desk!
Missha Airy Fit Sheet Masks (2pc) – Retail Value $3.22/per mask
These masks are so lightweight they practically mold to your face. I liked the rice one better than the shea butter—it just felt like it delivered more serum. They’re not life-changing, but they’re comforting, hydrating, and perfect for dry skin days.

My Final Thoughts
While this box didn’t knock me out of my chair like last month’s, it delivered solid staples that make winter skincare feel manageable and effective. I do wish we had seen a bit more variety—maybe a hydrating serum instead of the minis, or two distinct types of exfoliators to really compare.
But hey, as I type this from my patio, slathered in that dreamy hand cream (Florida’s 60-degree morning has me feeling fancy), I can’t complain too much. The box is still worth it.
If you’re a K-beauty lover looking for dependable products to fight winter dullness, this month’s box is a win. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s a trustworthy selection. 🫰
