First Impressions
How cute is the crystal-covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation!
The crystal was carefully packaged: nestled in packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising then, that it arrived in perfect condition.
Enchanted Crystal includes two inserts in their monthly subscription box. The first uses several QR codes to link to various letters on their blog. One links to a letter to new subscribers, another to their Crystal Library and one to the current month’s newsletter.
In the September blog post, Enchanted Crystal shares that they’re excited for the Denver Gem And Mineral Show, which they’ve been attending since 2015. Once back, Enchanted Crystal hints that a big announcement will be made. Stay tuned to find out what it is!
The second insert gives the details of September's star crystal: Wulfenite. This second insert is wonderful because it gives the background of this fascinating stone. If you lose your insert or you’d like to read it online, the same information can be found in their Crystal Library.
The Crystals
Orange Calcite & Brazilian Quartz Points (Bonus Crystals)
Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received in this box were two pieces of Orange Calcite and two Brazilian Quartz Points.
I’ve received Brazilian quartz points before and I love them. According to the Crystal Library, “Metaphysically, clear quartz is valued for its amplifying and purifying properties. It is believed to enhance energy, bring clarity of thought, and strengthen spiritual connections. Clear quartz is commonly used for energy cleansing, meditation, and to enhance the energies of other crystals. When paired with any other crystal or mineral variety, it is thought to amplify the combined properties, making it a powerful tool in crystal healing practices.”
The other two stones that I received were orange calcite. Unfortunately, Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library doesn’t contain a listing for orange calcite, but I was able to find interesting information about the stone elsewhere. According to the Crystal Council, “We always recommend orange calcite for anyone who feels down on themselves. This calcite variety is a very positive and uplifting stone. Its orange rays mirror that of the sun, producing and unleashing certain endorphins within the body. Anyone who is looking for the “fire” to be re-lit inside of them, this is the stone for you.”
A great start. Now, on to the main event!
Wulfenite
The main crystal for the month of September was Wulfenite. I received wulfenite a couple of years before so I should have remembered that it crumbles and can make quite a mess. The pieces that flake off will color your hands (and anything else they touch) a reddish hue.
According to the Crystal Library, “Wulfenite is a lead molybdate mineral that forms in the oxidation zones of lead ore deposits. It typically crystallizes in the tetragonal system, appearing as square or rectangular prismatic crystals with a bright orange, yellow, or red color.”
Enchanted Crystal adds, “Metaphysically, wulfenite is associated with creativity, manifestation, and personal power. It is believed to stimulate the solar plexus chakra, enhancing self-confidence, courage, and motivation. Wulfenite is often used for manifesting one's desires and goals, helping to align one's intentions with action. It is thought to inspire creativity and aid in artistic pursuits.”
The Verdict
September’s box contained stones that I’ve received before, but they're all unusual, beautiful and metaphysically powerful; with the holidays approaching quickly, they’ll be gifted to a new owner who will truly admire and appreciate them.
If you are interested in crystals, the monthly box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering subscribers receive a large, beautiful crystal (as well as several small bonus ones) and the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.
I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
