Opening The Box
INK+ALLOY subscribers can look forward to receiving earrings arriving in a small white box, typically with their name written on the front. Every year INK+ALLOY brews up special designs for the holidays, some Christmasy and some simply festive and wintry, and I always look forward to seeing what they send my way.
My box was packed by someone named Joy—hi, Joy! Thank you!
Here's What's Inside
Ava Crossing Colorblock Beaded Fringe Earrings Teal + Poppy — Retail Value $32
Oh, yay! I remember this design from last winter, when I think it may have been a newly launched design. I wished and hoped and prayed these guys would come my way, but instead I was sent a pair of delicate hoops with silver tones—actually they coordinate with the pair I was sent last month. (See last month's here and last December's here.) So, a year later, I'm pumped that this colorway is still in production and that it's now mine to enjoy. Greens and warm tones and metallic gold are all I ever want.
The lighting at my dining room table in the photos above looks cooler, but here by my window you can see the depth and warmth of this pair. And you can see how good I feel in them. I love that they could be considered Christmasy in that context, but they're a unique enough take on red and green that they can be worn for any festive occasion at any time of year.
By the way, last week I went to my city's art museum and took a peek in the gift shop. And some of the holiday INK+ALLOY earrings were in the case! It was so cool to see some of the pretty new fair isle designs in person. Maybe they'll make their way to me in my box later this winter or next season. It will have been worth the wait.
The Verdict
For December, INK+ALLOY hooked me up with a holiday-ready pair of earrings that offers a fresh take on the reds and greens of Christmas. If you don't celebrate Christmas and still got this pair, fear not, they're unique enough that they can be worn for any festive occasion. They're really lightweight and eye-catching.
