First Impressions

It's November, and the snowflakes are starting to fly! After a very quiet winter last year, I am hoping for lots of snow, and we are already on track for a white Christmas! My family just returned from a week long vacay in North Dakota, and as we head back into our normal routines, I am needing a little break from our break! This month's Wicked Good box arrived the day before I needed to head back to work and included some wonderful goodies to relax me before I'm off to the races again! Read below to see what I discovered.

What's Inside This Box

"Velours d' Automne" Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL - Listed Value $18

Each and every month, Wicked Good sends a perfume oil roller as part of their monthly subscription. This month's was a French version and included fragrance notes of green cardamom pods, pink peppercorn, nutmeg husk, smoky maple syrup, red deadwood, and amber resin. Lighter in scent than I was expecting, there is an initial earthy blend followed by musk. Warm and cozy-scented, this was a great fragrance for fall, and lasted throughout the day when placed on my elbows and neck. The addition of nutmeg was my personal favorite, and I found this oil blend to help keep me relaxed and enjoy my last day off, all while smelling great.

"Eclat de Minut" Perfume Spray, 30mL - $39.95

The next item we received was a 30 mL glass bottle of perfume. If you thought the "Velours d' Automne" scent was amazing, then wait for this one! Featuring notes of honeycrisp apple, Bartlett pear, Saigon cinnamon, Madagascar clove, nutmeg, bourbon vanilla, white musk, and golden amber, this collaboration is literally fall in a bottle. Featuring a bright fruity initial fragrance, this slowly turns into a warm cinnamon wonder, and leaves you smelling delightful. I loved adding this to my scarf for a boost of holiday joy, but also utilized this as a room spray because I loved it so much. A great addition to an already great box!

"Cider de Luxe" Oatmeal Bath Soak

The dry November air has wreaked havoc on my skin, and I was in need of a good soak and lotioning. This month I received a container of oatmeal bath soak, and not only is it beautiful, but functional too. Featuring notes of honeycrisp apple, golden caramel toffee, and autumn oak moss, this delightful mixture creates an ultra soft and healing bath. The addition of orange slices was the topping on the cake for me, and this really helped my transition back to "real life" after vacation a tiny bit easier.

"Figue et Fabbles" Body Butter

The last item we received was another great one for dry skin. This body butter featured notes of wild lemon zest, black cabernet grapes, dried Persian fig, night-blooming jasmine, star anise pods, smoked sandalwood, and velvet musk. Thick in texture, this is quite buttery, and extra hydrating, which is exactly what I needed. A little lighter in scent than I was expecting, this butter has an earthy floral fragrance to it, that pairs well with the perfume oil and spray. It is a little more greasy than your typical lotion though, so be sure to apply with caution as my keyboard keys ended up a bit oily!

The perfume roller and perfume spray have a total listed value of $57, which is $25 over the cost of this month's box without the inclusion of oatmeal soak and body butter! In this box, each of the 4 items costs an average of about $8.25.

Key Takeaways

This Wicked Good theme was a fantastic choice for fall, and I loved everything in it! Not only was the simplistic French design sophisticated and pretty, but the scents were some of my favorite of all time! I absolutely love the inclusion of bath items, and the body butter couldn't have arrived at a more opportune time. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased.
