This is a review for the $16.00 Crystal of the Month subscription.
First Impressions
The crystals were carefully packaged: nestled in packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising then, that they arrived in perfect condition.
Enchanted Crystal includes two inserts in their monthly subscription box. The first uses several QR codes to link to various letters on their blog. One links to a letter to new subscribers, another to their Crystal Library and one to the current month’s newsletter.
There wasn’t an October blog post but the second insert gave the details of October's star crystal: Azurite. This second insert is wonderful because it gives the background of this fascinating stone. If you lose your insert or you’d like to read it online, the same information can be found in their Crystal Library.
The Crystals
Cherry Quartz & Hematite Quartz Point (Bonus Crystals)
Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received in this box were a piece of Cherry Quartz and a Hematite Quartz Point. I’ve never received either of these stones from Enchanted Crystal before so I was really excited. Unfortunately, Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library doesn’t contain a listing for either stone but I was able to find interesting information about them elsewhere.
The Cherry Quartz stone has such a vibrant color. According to Crystal Viden, “It’s a human-made stone forged out of reconstituted Quartz. Forgers melt the silica-based material down to its molten state. Then, they add Cinnabar. Cinnabar is a scarlet-colored form of mercury sulfide. Combining the two minerals results in a milky, opaque stone with a distinct color. It takes on shades of orange, pink, and red. Some cuts may have inclusions of white or brown as well. Despite its human-made status, Cherry Quartz still plays a valuable role in crystal healing. The natural Quartz and Cinnabar constituents produce potent energy on their own. Together, they’re said to prove some potentially life-changing benefits and healing properties!”
The other stone that I received was a Hematite Quartz point. According to Crystal Life, “When we find Hematite Included Quartz we naturally assume that it will increase the energy intent of the Hematite. Knowing that both the Quartz and Hematite are both protective we can be assured that energy is a higher vibration and will assist in repelling the negative or discordant energies that come at us. Because of Hematite’s nature, we can become even more grounded and focused because of this combination.”
A great start. Now, on to the main event!
Azurite
The main stone for the month of October was Azurite. I’ve received Azurite in a couple of past boxes but I’m always thrilled to see it. The colors are so vibrant! It’s mostly an intense blue but is marbled with a rich green.
According to the Crystal Library, “Azurite is a deep blue copper carbonate mineral that forms in the oxidized zones of copper ore deposits. It occurs when copper-rich solutions interact with carbonate minerals and undergo a chemical reaction. Azurite is commonly found alongside malachite, another copper mineral.”
Enchanted Crystal adds, “Metaphysically, Azurite is associated with inner vision, intuition, and spiritual insight. It is thought to stimulate the third eye chakra, facilitating access to inner wisdom and expanding one's understanding of oneself and the world. Azurite is considered a stone of communication and creativity. It is believed to stimulate the flow of ideas, enhance artistic abilities, and promote effective self-expression. Azurite is treasured for its deep blue color, which is associated with calmness, inspiration, and a connection to the divine.”
The Verdict
October’s box contained stones that I’m absolutely in love with. It was exciting to get two new bonus crystals and the Azurite is one of my very favorite stones. Even though it’s not my first piece, I’ve displayed it prominently in my collection since the color is such a stunning shade of blue and no two pieces of Azurite look alike.
If you are interested in crystals, the monthly box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering subscribers receive a large, beautiful crystal (as well as several small bonus ones) and the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.
I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
