First Impressions
I'll be where the stars meet the snow. - Vellabox
So I am loving this month's Vellabox quote, but am really, really wondering where all of our snow is! Last year we had minimal white, fluffy stuff, and as avid outdoors person, I am having a hard time with this! Chilly and with not much to do outside, our weekends have been spent indoors. Cozy ambiance is a necessity for me when inside, and Vellabox definitely delivers! If a soft flicker of candle light paired with amazing scents is something you enjoy, I highly recommend this subscription. And with a surprise gift and a curated Spotify playlist included, it’s more than just a box—it’s a whole experience!
What's Inside the Box

Candles are definitely a way of life for me, and the ones that are made from soy wax in small batches are where its at. I have struggled with anxiety for about 7 years now, and journaling, candle ambiance, aromatherapy, and hot baths are really what have gotten me through. Prior to my Vellabox subscription, I was burning cheap candles that left our ceiling black with soot. Since swapping those out for these clean versions, my life has changed! Not only is our furnace filter cleaner, but so are our ceilings. This month's candle incorporates all of the homey feels. With notes of smoky marshmallow, vanilla, sandalwood, amber, and palo Santo, this is a sweeter scent that is perfect for January. With a woodsy, smokey aroma, it feels lighter than our previous fall scents, but just as comforting. Complete with a burn time of 80 hours, this candle will last you many burns and create more self-care evenings than you can count!
This month's candle was created by Sierra Soapbox Candle Co. This company was created out of cabin fever out of South Lake Tahoe, California. They make non-toxic soy wax candles with clean fragrances that are phthalate-free, carcinogen-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and pet-safe. Each candle is hand poured and packaged in Tahoe. Their website is extremely adorable too!

Happy Candle Crew Socks - Retail Value $12
Socks are definitely a useful item to receive, and these candle-donning ones were a perfect inclusion in this box. Sometimes patterned socks can be restrictive and uncomfortable, but this version is foot paradise. With soft, ribbed fabric, these crew cut socks are not only cute, but incredibly comfortable on my foot. With a solid toe and heel, the teal colored candle pattern is scattered throughout the sock adding a playful element. I wear a women's size 10 and these fit perfect. I also appreciated the fact that even when stretched above the calf, the pattern didn't distort. These are truly are really well made pair of socks!

Vellabox is a fabulous subscription, and one I look forward to receiving each and every month. Because I burn candles almost every single day, I like natural ones that are free of chemicals. Since starting this subscription, I have stopped burning big-box store candles, and have replaced them with these, which has made a huge impact on our furnace filter! The combination of the smoky sweet candle, comfy socks, and Spotify playlist continues to leave me impressed. I already can't wait to see what's in store for February!
