Happy weekend, y'all! I jetted off to Miami and Palm Beach last weekend for a quick trip (and to check out the guys) and realized I never wrote up my RTR review for my last trip in October. Better late than never, I suppose.
I actually loved this shipment, so let's hop to it!
WHAT I'M WEARING THIS WEEK: Rent the Runway
Welcome back to What I'm Wearing This Week — Rent the Runway where you can rent and wear designer items by names you know and love, and up-and-coming designers too!
For the newbies to WIWTW, every Friday I’ll take you on a trip through my life, where I’m going, what’s missing in my closet, my current obsessions, what I’m excited to try, and maybe even buy. Well, that's if the price is right!
For sizing reference, I am 5'11", weigh 140 pounds, and have a 33" inseam.
Rent the Runway is a clothing rental company, but it was the first clothing subscription platform that provided the everyday woman with access to authentic, luxury fashion. Since its launch in 2009, RTR has gone through many iterations, some of which were the result of the pandemic, and now it's also a sustainable resale platform where shoppers can rent, buy, or subscribe to secondhand clothing.
This is a review of the Most Loved 10 Items Per Month plan.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
WHAT I RECEIVED
All five items by Ronny Kobo, Hemant & Nandita, Rixo, The Andamane, and Saloni arrived fresh from the dry cleaner, on the hanger, and sealed in plastic bags.
THE GOODS
Ronny Kobo Astrid Dress, Retail Value $529, RTR $345
About the designer: Originally from Tel Aviv and raised in Hong Kong, Ronny Kobo's interest in fine art, travel, and culture eventually led her to New York City, where she graduated with a master's degree from NYU. She speaks fluent English, Hebrew, and Spanish.
Ronny started off her career by founding her own line of accessories and ultimately launched the trendsetting apparel brand Torn by Ronny Kobo in 2009. Why I rented it: For Miami!
How I styled it: I wore this dress with an earring and necklace set from Etsy, Tamara Mellon strappy pumps, and a vintage Chanel bag.
Size and fit: Rendered in lightweight chiffon, the Astrid dress is designed with a plunging neckline, puffed shoulders, long sleeves, open back with zip closure, ruched skirt, and back slit. I ordered a 6/8 and it was big in the bust and fitted in the hips.
Condition: Great.
Honest review: Loved it! The only annoying thing was the deep-v neckline that I had to double-side tape to myself multiple times.
Hemant & Nandita Floral Embroidered Maxi Dress, Retail Value $698, RTR $385
About the Designer: Established in 2004, RTW label Hemant & Nandita, has quickly carved a niche for its extremely luxurious yet wearable aesthetic that combines the old with the new. Their seamless ability to blend traditional elements with the contemporary bohemian bits fused with the international silhouettes has since been their stronghold & hallmark. Over the years, brand has carved a niche for itself in the world of fashion with ingenious quirky, witty designs, prints & textures. A beautiful blend of ethnic Indian traditions & contemporary western style, it's also a celebrity favorite.
Why I rented it: I wanted a heavier dress that would keep me warm on the flight and I could wear anywhere.
How I styled it: I paired this dress with Cole Haan strappy sandals, earrings from Rockbox and a snakeskin clutch.
Size and fit: This elegant boho maxi dress is crafted in thick cotton with yellow floral embroidery and scalloped detailing. This sleeveless dress features a collared neckline, front button closure, belted waist, side slash pockets, gently gathered skirt, and a scalloped hem.
Hemant & Nandita runs small. I got a six and while it fit well, it was a little snug in the bust.
Condition: Very good.
Honest review: This dress is so awesome... I'd buy it if I could find it in like-new condition. This one was a bit worn.
Rixo Golden Floral Dress, Retail Value $400, RTR $170

FINAL THOUGHTS
Guess what? I got scammed. Since my flight arrived late on Sunday, I decided to drive to the airport. I checked out the airport parking situation and noticed an ad on the top of Google for AirportsParking.com.
Allegedly, they have partnerships with hotels across the country. I found a spot a mile from the airport at the Holiday Inn for $38 (versus $57 at Reagan). They sent me a confirmation email with instructions on where to park and how to call the shuttle, so it felt legit.
Since my ex was a white-collar criminal and scammer, you'd think I'd have better common sense and would've read the reviews first, but I didn't! Huge mistake! I got to the garage at and followed the instructions. I got a ticket and drove around all three floors, searching for a space. I couldn't find any! I went back down to the first floor and drove around a second time just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Still, there were ZERO spots.
I was running short on time and worried that the security line at the airport would be crazy, so after wasting 15 minutes, I drove to the airport and parked at DCA. Once I got through security, I emailed them to let them know there weren't any spots and I had to park at the garage, and the scammers started to fight me.
I sat down at Starbucks went straight to Trustpilot. Now, I should've paid attention to the name because it's grammatically incorrect and the website looks like it was designed by a child, but I was more focused on saving money. Big mistake, huge!
Luckily, my credit card company refunded me, but for SEO reasons, if you're wondering...
Is airportsparking.com legit? No, it's a scam!
Is airportsparking com real? No, it's a scam!
Is airports parking com legit? No, it's a scam!
Save your money, time and frustration. I'm in the process of getting them taken down like I helped take down my ex's Ponzi Scheme. Filing complaints with the BBB and Google. You're welcome.
VALUE BREAKDOWN: The 10 Items a Month membership costs $104/month and goes up to $152/month after the first 3 months) and so far, I've received styles with a retail value of $203,029.
