New year, new skincare treasures, and the same excitement every time that little box lands on my doorstep! This month’s BomiBox? A mix of beloved classics, intriguing newcomers, and a few surprises that left me raising an eyebrow (in a good way). One thing’s for sure: this box was all about tone. So, if you’re on a mission to even out your complexion, you’re in the right place.
For those new to the game, BomiBox is a monthly Korean beauty subscription box packed with eight full-sized and deluxe sample-sized skincare, makeup, and beauty goodies. Think of it as a passport to the best of K-beauty, delivered straight to your door. This is a review of BomiBox Luxe, which costs $39.99 per month.
(This box was sent to us at no cost for review. Want to know how we review boxes? Check out our editorial guidelines.)
First Impressions
BomiBox has packaging down to an art form. Everything was snug, secure, and ready to be unboxed without the fear of leaks or spills (which, let’s be real, is a skincare lover’s nightmare). Now, onto the good stuff.
What’s Inside:
G9SKIN White in Milk Toner (300ml) – Retail Value $22.10
Before Rhode’s milky toner had the internet in a chokehold, this one was the real MVP. If you’ve been in the K-beauty world for a while, you’ve definitely seen it. It has that classic lightweight, runny-but-not-too-runny texture that sits somewhere between a toner and an essence. The brightening effect is subtle but effective, especially for light hyperpigmentation. Plus, it absorbs quickly with zero sticky residue.
Abib Pore Cleansing Oil Wash (200ml) –$26
Abib’s skincare lineup is sleek, minimal, and (usually) a win. This oil cleanser is lightweight, refreshing, and heartleaf-based (a K-beauty darling for calming irritation). But here’s the thing: I like my cleansing oils to emulsify into a creamy texture, and this one doesn’t quite get there. If you’re a heavy makeup wearer, this might not be your go-to for a deep cleanse. However, if you’re more of a sunscreen-and-brows type of person, this is a great, non-greasy first cleanse option.
COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence (100 ml) – Retail Value $24
I’ve been on an essence kick lately, so this was a pleasant surprise. Galactomyces ferment filtrate (try saying that five times fast) is a powerhouse ingredient known for evening out skin tone and adding that lit-from-within glow. This one leans on the thicker side for an essence, almost like a lightweight serum, but it absorbs fast without any greasiness. If your skin needs a hydration boost while tackling hyperpigmentation, this is a solid pick.
AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum (50 ml) – Retail Value $22
A cult-favorite for a reason! If you’re serious about fading dark spots, this serum works, but patience is key. We’re talking a solid 3 to 6 months of commitment before you really see results. It’s lightweight, creamy, and hydrates without drying out your skin (which some brightening serums are guilty of). Just a heads up: watch your niacinamide intake. Too much can overwhelm your skin, so pair this with other products wisely.
Pyunkang Yul Black Tea Reverse Eye Cream (9 ml) – Retail Value $9.90
I’ve never been Pyunkang Yul’s biggest fan, but this eye cream changed my mind. It’s THICK, creamy, and packed with ceramides to keep the under-eye area hydrated and plump. A tiny bit goes a long way, so don’t overdo it. And the best part? No fragrance.
Medicube Deep Peptide Radiance Mask (1 sheet) – Retail Value $4.80

Medicube rarely misses, and this sheet mask was no exception. My skin felt deeply hydrated for hours after using it. The only downside? It’s a little pricey for a one-time use mask. Pro tip: Cut slits along the chin and brows for a perfect fit.
Etude Aloe Soothing Moisture Mask (1 sheet) – Retail Value $3.70

Etude House and soothing masks go hand-in-hand. This aloe-infused gem is a must-have for post-sun exposure or irritated skin. Want to take it up a notch? Pop it in the fridge before applying. Thank me later.
Was this Box Worth It?
The Cost: $39.99

- AXIS-Y Serum – Dark spot treatment
Just add a second cleanser, a moisturizer, and SPF, and you’re good to go!
