INK+ALLOY is a female-founded accessory brand with a mission to empower women through every day, modern pieces that make a bold statement. Their accessories are all designed in Atlanta, and made both in Atlanta and by artisans in India. Their seed bead earrings are hand-woven and their Insider Club sends one surprise pair of earrings per month for $25/month. That's 25-30% savings + free shipping!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Opening The Box

INK+ALLOY subscribers can look forward to receiving earrings arriving in a small white box, typically with their name written on the front. Inside, the earrings of the month are packaged in a simple, low-waste way.

Our tiny info card tells how to care for your new earrings, gives a little info about the charity this brand supports, and on the back, tells us who packed our order. For the first time ever, I also received a printed receipt.

Here's What's Inside

Celia Small Triangle Drop With Semi-Precious Stone Post Earrings Navy — Retail Value $38

This month's pair is a change of pace from anything we've received in the past. They're upscale precision-cut glass beads, which we've seen a few times, but they take a unique shape, woven into a sail-like triangle that hangs from a semi-precious stone. (It doesn't actually say what stone is used but it looks like it could be lapis lazuli for this colorway.) This style also comes in white, coral, kelly green, light blue, and lavender, with a coordinating semi-precious stone post.

It's deeply cold and gloomy where I live this week, and I had a hard time finding light that would keep these earrings from disappearing against my hair. In general I'm more drawn to earrings that pop against my hair color, which any other colorway of the Celia Small Triangles except this navy would do better—but of course as the weather warms and I have my hair up more that'll be resolved. We'll see if I keep them that long. This design feels a little small for me, and I have a friend with a pixie cut who I think would rock them. They might be destined for her!

The Verdict

February with INK+ALLOY was one pair of luxe seed bead earrings in a fresh geometric shape! The navy triangle of beads hanging from the semi-precious stone post is lovely, but I'm not sure it's my color or style. You can't win 'em all.
