First Impressions
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month’s theme is "A Clean Slate," which couldn’t be more fitting, and the bag design is easily one of my favorites from Ipsy in a while. The sleek pattern and overall aesthetic feels so polished, and I absolutely love the mock wax emblem detail on the hardware. Such a unique touch! Everything about this bag feels thoughtfully designed, so let’s dive in.

Glow Recipe is one of those brands I’m always happy to see in a subscription box. Their Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Lip Gloss Balm is a great balance between hydration and gentle plumping. I love that it delivers moisture first and foremost, thanks to the hyaluronic acid and antioxidant-rich plum, making my lips feel soft and nourished without any uncomfortable tingling. I’m not usually a fan of traditional lip plumpers, so I appreciate that this one enhances the lips naturally while keeping them hydrated; it’s working double-time. The glossy finish is lovely too, giving just the right amount of shine without being sticky. I’m usually a fan of Glow Recipe’s products, and this one is no exception.
ILLUMINATI COSMETICS Multi-Chrome Gel Eyeliner in Elite, 0.28 g - Retail Value $21.00
While eyeliner isn’t one of my everyday go-tos, this Illuminati Cosmetics Multi-Chrome Gel Eyeliner in Elite is such a fun and eye-catching option for winter. This icy blue shade feels perfect for the season, adding just the right amount of sparkle and shimmer to a look. The formula applies smoothly, which is impressive given the glittery finish, and I love that it doesn’t flake off throughout the day. It’s also safe for sensitive eyes like mine, making it a great choice for anyone looking to add a bit of bold, shimmering detail without irritation. A festive liner that I’m happy to have in my collection.
BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS HD Smoothing Primer, 30 ml - Retail Value $40.00
Bellapierre Cosmetics is another one of my go-to brands. Their products consistently deliver, and this primer is a definite win. It creates a flawless, smooth base for makeup without pilling or leaving behind a powdery residue, which is a must for me. I love how it settles into the pores, blurring imperfections and giving my skin a soft effect – whether I wear it under makeup or on its own for a naturally smoothed-out look. The formula feels lightweight and breathable, yet it does an amazing job of keeping everything in place throughout the day. Plus, the product’s size is generous, making it even more of a standout in this month’s bag.
MEMOIRE ARCHIVES Candy Shop Fragrance, 10 ml - Estimated Value $6.00
I’m not the biggest fan of fragrances, but this Candy Shop Fragrance from Memoire Archives is easily one of the better ones I’ve received in a subscription box. A lot of perfumes tend to lean too floral or powdery for my taste, giving some real grandma vibes – but this one is refreshingly different. It has a sweet, fruity scent that feels playful and light rather than overwhelming. While it’s not something I’d use daily, it’s a nice accent scent that’s perfect for tossing in my gym bag for a quick freshen-up while on the go. Nice travel-friendly size too!
CAMARA AUNIQUE BEAUTY The Virtuous Woman Brush Set Vol. 1 (Deborah and Ruth), 2-pc - Estimated Value $39.00
Wow, this Camara Aunique Beauty The Virtuous Woman Brush Set Vol. 1, titled "Deborah and Ruth," is a beautifully crafted duo that feels super-soft and high quality. These brushes are perfect for blending and concealing, with fluffy bristles that don’t irritate the skin – something I always look for in a good brush set. They work especially well for setting my under-eye makeup, giving a smooth and seamless finish without disturbing my foundation or concealer. The design is sleek and elegant, making them a lovely addition to my brush collection. Overall, the pair offers up an excellent balance of function and luxury, perfect for both everyday use and more detailed makeup application.
The Verdict
This was a solid month for Ipsy Glam Bag! The standout for me was definitely Glow Recipe’s lip gloss balm, which provides the right balance of hydration and subtle plumping minus the dreaded tingling. Bellapierre is one of my go-tos, and it blurs imperfections beautifully, creating a flawless base. Memoire Archives’ fruity fragrance was a pleasant surprise for someone like me who isn’t usually big on perfumes, and the travel-friendly option is perfect for a quick refresh while on the go. The brush set from Camara Aunique Beauty is a great duo for blending and setting, offering ultra-soft high quality bristles. Lastly, Illuminati Cosmetics’ gel eyeliner was another fun addition, bringing an icy blue shimmer that’s perfect for winter events, and I love how smoothly it applies without any flaking. Overall, I thought this was a well-rounded mix of playful essentials, both practical and fun.
