Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that sends samples (and sometimes full sizes) of new and exciting beauty products from top brands. Despite being out of the game for a minute, the subscription is back! Birchbox is one of the original beauty subscription boxes and is a great way to discover new makeup, hair care, and skincare products (four to six items every month) without breaking the bank.
This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Ipsy, Birchbox sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

UPCIRCLE Face Moisturizer with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera, 60 ml - Retail Value $28.00
Discovering a new brand is always thrilling, and UpCircle’s Face Moisturizer with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera was such a great introduction. Right away, I was impressed by the generous size of the product, and the texture strikes a perfect balance: rich and creamy, yet lightweight with a subtle gel-like feel that absorbs beautifully into the skin. I also appreciate that there are no added fragrances, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin like myself. The light, spa-like scent from its botanical ingredients is refreshing without being overpowering. Beyond the formula, what really stands out is the brand’s commitment to sustainability; they are natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and even plastic-negative, which makes me feel even better about incorporating it into my routine. The product is packed with hydrating and skin-loving ingredients like aloe vera, vitamin E, and cocoa butter, leaving my skin feeling soft, nourished, and calm. My first experience with this brand has been nothing but positive, and I’d love to see more of their eco-conscious products in future subscription boxes!
GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream, 20 ml - Estimated Value $2.60
New obsession unlocked… I’ve always been a fan of Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow line, but the Watermelon Glow Pink Dream Body Cream takes that love to a whole new level. From the first application this time around, I was hooked. The whipped, cloud-like texture melts into the skin effortlessly, delivering deep hydration without feeling heavy or greasy. And the scent is absolute heaven. It has the signature juicy artificial watermelon fragrance that’s both refreshing and addictive, yet surprisingly gentle on my skin despite my usual preference for unscented products. The formula is packed with hydrating hyaluronic acid, smoothing AHAs, and nourishing watermelon seed butter, leaving my skin feeling ridiculously soft, plump, and glowing. The only downside? The sample size doesn’t provide enough to truly indulge, but this has been a great reminder to add a full-size to my wishlist. Dry skin? We don’t know her.
MUDMASKY Vitamin-Infused Eye Serum, 30 ml - Retail Value $18.00
Eye serums in subscription boxes always feel like a little luxury, and the Mudmasky Vitamin-Infused Eye Serum was a welcome surprise, especially given its generous size. Designed to target fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles, this serum is packed with superstar ingredients like superfood antioxidants and Vitamin C to brighten and refresh tired eyes. In the past, my skin hasn’t always reacted well to formulas heavy in Vitamin C, but this one has been gentle yet effective for me. I’ve also noticed a boost in hydration, making the delicate skin under my eyes look smoother. The lightweight texture absorbs quickly without any greasy residue, making it a great addition to my skincare. So far, I’m really happy with how it’s performing, and I’m interested to see even more results with continued use.
MUDMASKY Midnight Hand Mask, 40 ml - Retail Value $29.00
A good hand treatment is always a win for me, and the Mudmasky Midnight Hand Mask couldn’t have come at a better time. Lately, I’ve been noticing my hands looking a little more "aged" than I’d prefer, so anything that helps keep them soft and youthful is a must-have. Unlike typical hand creams, this is a true overnight mask, providing a direct stream of hydrating ingredients to deeply repair and nourish the delicate skin of your hands overnight. The scent is super subtle, almost like a fresh baby powder, so it’s perfect for nightly use without being overpowering. I may not be able to stop time, but if this helps keep my hands looking 50 when I’m 80, I’ll take it.
PETER THOMAS ROTH Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer, 7.5 ml - Estimated Value $8.10
Few moisturizers that I’ve used have felt as instantly refreshing as the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer, so I was more than thrilled to see it in this month’s box. Plus, it’s the perfect travel size for my next work trip! The texture is just as dreamy as I remember: super lightweight and airy, thanks to its water-based, 30% hyaluronic acid complex formula that helps to pull in moisture and keeps skin feeling plump and hydrated. It absorbs very fast as well, leaving none of the dreaded greasy residue. If you’re looking for a moisturizer that delivers serious hydration without feeling heavy, this one is a solid go-to.
STARSKIN VIP The Gold Mask Eye, 1 pair - Retail Value $8.00
Mornings can be rough when you’re a night owl forced into early bird mode, which is why I always appreciate a good eye mask. First off, I loved that these Starskin VIP patches actually stayed put; no sliding down my face while I tried to multitask. I took it up a notch by chilling them in the fridge beforehand, and the cooling effect was next-level refreshing. These masks are packed with an impressive blend that delivers instant hydration and helps to smooth and depuff tired under-eyes. After just one use, I could see a visible difference, so if you need a quick pick-me-up, these luxurious eye masks are definitely worth trying.
The Verdict
This was a fantastic month for Birchbox, with a great mix of skincare and body care favorites! The Mudmasky eye serum was easily a standout for me. The generous size, hydrating formula, and gentle Vitamin C blend made it a total win for my under-eyes. Another fave was the UPCircle face moisturizer, which is a full-sized, eco-conscious gem that absorbed beautifully into my skin. As a long-time fan of Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow line, I was thrilled with the body cream. Its whipped texture and juicy watermelon scent made me wish the sample was never ending. I also really enjoyed Mudmasky’s hand mask, a true overnight treatment that left my hands feeling softer without any greasy residue. Since this box seems to be all about hydration, which I’m always in favor of, the inclusion of the Peter Thomas Roth cloud cream was another win for me, especially with its travel size and a formula that delivered deep hydration with an airy, cloud-like texture. Lastly, the Starskin gold eye masks added another dose of luxury into my skincare routine. Its cooling, gold foil design helped depuff and brighten my tired under-eyes, and I loved that they actually stayed in place. Overall, this month’s box felt well-curated with a thoughtful mix of hydration-packed essentials, and I was thrilled with the selection.
