BomiBox KBeauty Review – Fresh Refresh February 2025

A Little Late, But Worth the Wait? Let’s Unbox This Month’s K-Beauty Goodies!

We’re a little late to the party, but the February BomiBox is finally here! This month’s theme? Refreshing, rejuvenating, and balancing. Basically, everything our skin needs as we transition into spring.

But did this box actually deliver? Let’s unpack it together.

If you’re new here, BomiBox is a monthly K-beauty subscription box that curates eight full-sized and deluxe sample-sized skincare, makeup, and body care goodies straight from Korea.

I’m reviewing BomiBox Luxe, which is $39.99 per month.

FYI: This box was sent to me for review (transparency, always!). Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.

First Impressions

Okay, so let’s keep it real. I wasn’t immediately screaming when I opened this box. There were some familiar faces in here, but nothing mind-blowing… except for one product (more on that in a sec). That said, everything arrived in perfect condition, which is always a win.

What’s Inside:

ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Lotion (50 ml) – Retail Value $9.99

She’s an icon for a reason. If you have sensitive skin, you need this lotion in your life. It’s lightweight, deeply hydrating, and packed with ceramides to repair your skin barrier. Basically, this is your morning routine’s best friend, moisturizing without feeling heavy.

The only catch? Dewy finish alert. If you prefer a matte look, you might wanna follow up with foundation or powder.

Celimax Noni Energy Repair Ampoule (10 ml) – Retail Value $6.99

This. This was the sample that made me squeal.

If you haven’t met her yet, allow me to introduce one of Korea’s most popular ampoules. This little green gem is packed with rosemary oil to deeply hydrate and soothe irritation, leaving you with smooth, radiant skin.

I’m already planning to layer this under my reusable sheet mask to squeeze out every last drop of goodness. Obsessed.

Mary & May Idebenone + Blackberry Complex Intensive Total Care Cream (12 g) – Retail Value $4

This tiny jar is deceiving because she packs a punch. Since this is an intensive treatment, I actually prefer getting the mini over the full-size. I like using this on my smile lines and under my eyes, and it’s legit amazing at softening fine lines.

It’s creamy but never greasy and just makes my nighttime routine feel that much fancier.

TIAM Vita B3 Source (40 ml) – Retail Value $18

Okay, hot take: I’m so over niacinamide at this point. But this one actually intrigued me because it also has arbutin, which is chef’s kiss for fading hyperpigmentation, so it actually helps fade sun spots and acne scars.

The texture? Super lightweight. My skin literally drank this up. If you like to layer serums, this is a good first step because of its thin, watery consistency. But still jelly enough to make it easy to apply.

Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser (150ml) – Retail Value $17

Unpopular opinion: I don’t like this cleanser.

I know it’s a holy grail for many, but my skin just doesn’t vibe with it. In fairness, this happens to me with every “low pH” cleanser.

That said, if your skin likes gentle, foamy cleansers, you might love this. It gently exfoliates, works for sensitive skin, and most people find it hydrating. I, however, find it drying. So, you be the judge.

Barulab Clean Vegan AHA/BHA Mask (1 pc) – Retail Value $2.73

I love Barulab sheet masks. They fit perfectly, feel luxurious, and are just an all-around win.

This one gives you gentle exfoliation, so if you’re a sheet mask lover, I’d honestly recommend buying a 10-pack and using them every other night.

Beauty of Joseon Centella Asiatica Calming Mask (1 pc) – Retail Value $2

If you’ve tried the Centella serum, you already know how good it is. Soothing, hydrating, calming perfection. This mask? Same vibes. It’s packed with Centella Asiatica, which is basically a reset button for irritated skin.

The only thing? The fit is not my fave. It runs a little big, but nothing a few strategic snips can’t fix. Is it worth the minor hassle? Yep. My skin felt so calm after using this, so it’s a win in my book.

NINE LESS A-Control Azelaic Acid Serum & B-Boost 10% Niacinamide Serum (2ml) – Samples

Little bonus treats! I’ve actually used (and finished) a full bottle of the A-Control Azelaic Acid Serum. If you struggle with redness, irritation, or breakouts, run– don’t walk– to get this. It keeps my skin so calm and happy.

As for the niacinamide serum? Meh, we’ll see. My routine is niacinamide-free right now, so we’ll find out if this one makes the cut.

Was this Box Worth It?

The Cost: $39.99

Value Breakdown:

  • ILLIYOON Lotion: $9.99
  • Celimax Ampoule: $6.99
  • Mary & May Cream: $4
  • TIAM Serum: $18
  • Round Lab Cleanser: $17
  • Barulab Mask: $2.73
  • Beauty of Joseon Mask: $2
  • NINE LESS Samples: –

Total Value: $60.71

The value is definitely there, but because we got more minis than usual, the box felt a little… light. Honestly, I’d have preferred a full-size Celimax ampoule instead of a handful of small samples.

That said, I loved discovering a new brand (TIAM) and the box gave me a full skincare routine (cleanser, serum, moisturizer), which is always a plus.
