Medusa's Make-Up Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup subscription box from the popular indie brand of the same name. Each month you'll receive a box of 3-5 vegan beauty products for just $22.95 with free shipping, with a total value of around $40. The shades and colors are always unique and the packaging is super fun!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The March 2025 Box

As a beauty enthusiast, I have been a subscriber to a slew of make-up boxes. But Medusa's Make-Up is still pretty new to me. When the opportunity to review this box arose, I jumped at the chance, and couldn't wait to see what it was all about. After my first box, I became obsessed - so what does March's box have in store?! Read below to find out!

Packaged in a pretty magenta foil mailer, it was love at first sight! (And check out this cute clear bubble bag - I love these things for travel!!)

Kicking things off, we got an info card that lays out everything inside the box, complete with their retail values. This month's card has a gorgeous mermaid design with a dreamy ombre background. There’s no official theme mentioned, but I’m more than ready to dive in!

Valleynet Blusher & Highlighter - Retail Value $0.99

When I opened this month’s box and found this adorable stacking trio of colors, I was so excited! It includes a soft pink matte blush and two glittery highlighters, with a decent color payoff. Plus, the compact packaging makes it perfect for travel.

However, I did run into a bit of an issue with the info card. It lists this item as the "Eye Bento Bouncy Eyeshadow Trio" with a retail value of $28. That product is sold at Sephora in multiple shades, and while the packaging looks similar, mine has "Valleynet" printed on top instead of "Kaja." The bottom label also confirms it’s actually a blush and highlighter trio. The big problem? The retail values of these two products are very different, meaning the total value of the box takes a noticeable hit. Kind of frustrating and more than a little sneaky!—hmmmm...

Here you can see the three colors I received in the compact. The blush definitely packs a peachy punch, while the highlighters add a dusting of sparkle.

Medusa's Make-Up Eyeshadow - Bahamas - Listed Value $12.00

I wear eyeshadow almost every day, but I usually stick to my go-to neutral palettes. That said, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to make my eye looks pop! This month, I received a Medusa-branded eyeshadow pan in a deep black shade. The matte formula has amazing pigment and staying power—it’s perfect for a smoky eye and also great for deepening liquid eyeliner. Overall, I’m really loving this formula and know I’ll be reaching for this color often!

One light swipe and you've got color all day!

Choose Rasme Color Lip Liner – Listed Value $14.00

I don’t wear lip liner all that often, but I do like to try it out from time to time. This month, I received a gorgeous pink shade that’s perfect for spring! Lip liner is great for enhancing the shape of your lips, and this one paired beautifully with the lip oil from the box for a really pretty look. My only complaint? It didn’t quite live up to its 24-hour wear claim—I just wish it lasted a bit longer!

Pretty in pink! This liner is bright yet super versatile. The pointy tip makes for easy application, and the pigment is really impressive. While it didn’t last as long as I’d hoped, it still looked gorgeous on!

Hair Clip –  Listed Value $7.00

Claw clips were all the rage in the early 2000s, and I definitely had my fair share! These days, I only have a couple, mostly for sectioning my hair when curling. That said, I really like the modern design of this one and the light, neutral color. The quality seems solid, and I love how it adds a bit of volume to my hair. Accessories like this are always fun to get—I don’t usually buy them for myself, but I do enjoy trying them out!

Shaqinuo Lip Gloss – Listed Value $8.00

I love lip gloss because I never have to worry about it staining my teeth! This one came in a gorgeous burgundy shade but applied pretty sheer. The fruity scent was super tasty, and while the paddle-style applicator was a little different, it actually worked really well. Like most glosses, it didn’t last as long as I’d hoped—especially since it wasn’t sticky—but the initial look was stunning! Paired with the lip liner from this month’s box, it made for a perfect spring combo.

Check out this pretty color! Creating a subtle hue, this enhanced the natural color of my lips.

SADOER Face Mask - Retail Value $6.00

I love a good self-care moment with a face mask, and this Sadoer grape seed antioxidant mask was extra juicy! After my shower, I applied it and let it do its thing. It’s great for moisturizing, nourishing, and helping with fine lines and wrinkles. My skin definitely felt more hydrated afterward, and I’d be happy to see more of these in future boxes!

My kids and husband think these masks are extra creepy, but I do love the results they offer!

Here you can see the lip liner, lip gloss, eyeshadow, and blush trio at work. These items were applied after hydrating my skin with the face mask.

The Verdict

This month's curation of Medusa's Make-Up was full of fun items! With a variety of skin, makeup, and hair items, this month's curation was great. While I was a little disappointed in the advertising of the blush trio, I did enjoy the product. My favorites were definitely the trio, gloss, face mask, and hair clip. Overall, I enjoyed all of this month's contents and am looking forward to the April box! What was your favorite item in this month's bag? Let me know in the comments below.

Keep track of your subscriptions by adding this box to your subscription list or wishlist!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the April box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.

Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $48.00 worth of items this month (knocking down the listed retail value of the trio item). This is still more than two times the cost of the box! That's definitely a good value for $22.95!
