First Impressions
My box arrived bursting with so many new and cool finds; everything was packaged securely and there was a QR code under the lid that took me to a relaxing playlist to help set the mood.
This leaflet has some of the answers to the questions you might have about the products included in this quarter's box. I like that they include a brand bio for each item so you can learn more about these local, conscious AU & NZ brands.
Now, on to the items!
Ray Skincare - Vitamin Elixir Face Oil - Retail Value AU$55.00 ($34.95 USD)

First up, this calm and nourishing facial oil is formulated with Prickly Pear, Kalahari Melon and Blue Tansy. I'm currently using a basic drugstore moisturizer, so I love that I can boost it by adding a few drops of this oil. My skin does feel more hydrated and nourished with this combo, the scent is light and bright and not too overpowering, so I'm happy with this one.
Retreat Yourself - 'The Fluffie' Hair Turban - Retail Value AU$29.95 ($19.03 USD)
I have long, thick hair that takes forever to dry, so I've used plenty of these hair towel turbans in the past. One common complaint I have with these is that they're not long enough to comfortably hold up all my hair or they don't have a sturdy fastener. That was not the case with this one. It's generously large and easily holds my hair in place with a buttoned loop closure. Love it!
Grace Cosmetics - Aloe Stimulating Scrub - Retail Value AU$44.00 ($27.96 USD)

I've really been sleeping on exfoliators for a while. I think I was just confused as to what to use, like are the coarse ones too harsh, are chemical ones better? But I really should be exfoliating regularly, especially since my skin gets pretty congested. So, I was excited to try this one. I love the light oatmeal scent and while I used much less pressure for my face, it did seem to work well for both my face and body. Safe to say, this exfoliator has officially earned a spot in my routine.
Love Beauty Foods - Super Hydrating Face Mist with Hyaluronic + Aloe - Retail Value AU$29.95 ($19.03 USD)

I'm a face mist addict. I use it as a toner after cleansing and before serums, moisturizer, etc. But I also love spritzing my face throughout the day to perk up a bit and as the last step of my makeup routine for that more natural, dewy look. So, I'll always be happy to receive a face mist. Unfortunately, this wasn't much to write home about. Mainly, I wasn’t a fan of the spray itself; it just didn’t disperse enough mist.
Essano - Expertise Growth + Volume Hair Scalp Serum - Retail Value AU$29.99 ($19.06 USD)

Lately, my hair seems to be falling out in clumps. Like, I've always had a lot of hair come out when I wash it, but now it's all the time and everywhere. I think I'm noticing some thinned-out spots near my temple, so this serum could not have arrived at a better time. It's probably too soon to tell if it's having any effect but I like that you can use it on damp or dry hair. I also enjoy the tingly, fresh feeling the caffeine in the serum leaves on my scalp.
Retreat Yourself - Self-Love Journal - Retail Value AU$14.95 ($9.50 USD)

I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately and wanting to have more clarity on my thoughts, so journaling is something I've been meaning to pick up again. I feel like this notepad is an easy way to get started and I mean, who couldn't benefit from transforming their inner voice. It's a 90-day challenge and you scan the QR code to get your daily prompt. Day 1's prompt is: What does self-love truly mean to you? How would embracing it fully change the way you live your life?
Empire Australia - Therapeutic Hand & Body Lotion - Retail Value AU$14.95 ($9.50 USD)

This lotion is a dream if you love a fresh, calming scent. The eucalyptus and lavender combo is soothing without being overpowering, making it perfect for winding down after a long day. The texture is lightweight yet hydrating, absorbing quickly without any greasy residue. My skin felt soft and nourished, and the pump bottle makes application super convenient.
MooGoo Skin Care - Creamy Hydrating Face Cleanser - Retail Value AU$14.90 ($9.47 USD)

I've loved every MooGoo product I've tried and this one is no exception. A little goes a long way and I love how foamy this gets, which isn't always the case with creamy cleansers. This gentle cleanser is made with Hyaluronic Acid and leaves my face feeling soft and clean but not stripped at all.
Wanderlust - Wellness Tonic: Licorice - Retail Value AU$39.99 ($25.41 USD)
I actually just finished a bottle of Wanderlust Echinacea, so I was keen to try this gut health supplement from the same brand. And I mean, who doesn't need help with their gut and digestion? But while I'm OK with the strong herbal taste of echinacea, I'm not a fan of licorice and it was hard to stomach this one. Unfortunately, no matter how good it might be, I just couldn't get past the taste.
Anihana - Mini Bath Bombs 5 Pack: Raspberry Marshmellow - Retail Value AU$15.00 ($9.53 USD)
These mini bath bombs are little drops of fizzy, fragrant joy! The raspberry marshmallow scent is sweet but not overpowering, creating a fun and relaxing bath experience. They dissolve quickly, adding a touch of color and a subtle, skin-softening feel to the water. I love that they’re made with natural ingredients and come in a cute, giftable pack.
Sodasmith - Finger Lime Soda - Retail Value AU$4.00 ($2.54 USD)

I've actually picked up this fancy soda from the grocery store before, and I love it. It tastes just as fancy as it looks, with a zesty, sophisticated finger lime flavor. I think it would make a great mixer, but so far, I’ve only enjoyed it on its own. It’s also the perfect size for someone like me—just enough for a light refresher without feeling like too much soda.
20-Page Wellness Retreat Guide
The Retreat Yourself box also comes with a booklet filled with mindful activities, journaling prompts, a yoga flow, and a healthy recipe.
Verdict
I love how practical this box is! It includes so many items I might have bought for myself anyway—like the cleanser and hair turban—plus things I wouldn’t necessarily pick up but can definitely use, like the hair growth serum. Overall, I was super happy with this box, but I did miss the usual sweet treat or snack that’s usually included.
