Wantable is a personal styling service for women and men that delivers clothing and accessories based on your style profile. You'll initially pay a $20 styling fee to sign up for your first (or next) clothing box. Women can choose to receive items from Style, Active, and/or Sleep & Body. Men, on the other hand, have access to items from Men's Active Edit.
Each box includes seven items to try on from home. You'll have a week to decide what's right for you, or you can request a one-time extension of three days. The styling fee will be applied to any purchase made from your “Edit” and you'll receive 20% off your entire order if you keep five items.
This is one of today's best personal styling services for revamping your entire wardrobe!
This review is of Wantable Active Edit. Wantable also offers Style Edit, Sleep & Body, and Men's Active Edit.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
Picking Up from Last Time...
So far the only hit I've landed between my first two clothing boxes from Wantable was the Topanga dress from Style Edit. However, I've still got high hopes for this personal styling service! If you haven't read my prior Wantable reviews yet, let's quickly catch up...
I'm a mom who's just over a year postpartum with my second child and in serious need of non-maternity clothing. However, I wasn't sure what would look best on me in this current season as I'm in between sizes and most clothing fits awkwardly. Lucky for me, Wantable offered their help! I was gifted $500 in credits and could use them toward any combination of items from their Edits.
So far I've used $99 toward Style Edit and $0 toward Active Edit. (Check out my Style Edit and Active Edit reviews!) While I still have $401 to use, I'm going to be more selective about what I buy.
Does that mean I stick to buying only one item per Edit? Or will I keep trying out new boxes until I land one with at least five items that work?
Only time will tell! But for now, let's see what my Sleep & Body box delivered.
How this Wantable Review Series Will Work
My Wantable reviews will follow a slightly different format than our standard recurring reviews for personal styling services. Here's what to expect:
- I'll try out each of Wantable's Edits for women, one box per review.
- I'll only show myself wearing the items I loved (or liked)—same as if I were shopping in person with friends or family.
- I'll then show what the other items looked like, just not on me.
- I'll continue getting restyled and reviewing new boxes until I use all of my credits.
My Wantable Sleep & Body Review
What I Loved
Heather Tee and Short Sleep Set in Heather Plum by SEAS (XL) - $80
So, so comfy! I thought the color was beautiful and felt very feminine on. I also really liked that this sleep set was modest and had a relaxed fit.
The length of the shorts was ideal as it gave me just enough coverage to wear around company (i.e. visiting family members or friends) without feeling awkward. The length of the shirt was great too as I prefer slightly longer shirts to fully cover my torso.
The only problem? There were no pockets!!! (Which is a huge deal for me.)
Textured Essentials Top in Heather Grey by PJ Salvage (XL) - $52
While this top wasn't overly glamorous, I loved the way it felt—light, soft, and very relaxed. It would be the perfect sweater to throw on while running a quick errand or to wear while working around the house.
I like to keep several tops like this one around the house for grab-and-go kind of days so this seemed pretty promising...
What I Liked
Textured Essentials in Jam Pant in Heather Grey by PJ Salvage (L) - $52
For some reason I tend to gravitate toward items in this color. Perhaps I just like how clean and simple it looks?
This pair of jam pants was light and airy, though a tad tight. Also, these pants didn't have pockets either which made them less ideal for me to keep.
What Didn't Work
Downtime Hacci Jogger in Soft Sage by SEAS (L) - $72
This shade of green looked cute online, but I felt like a bright green frog wearing them. They were defintiely comfortable and provided great coverage, but the color scared me away.
Cozy Pullover and Short Set in Frost Blue by Bobeau Sleepwear (XL) - $60
This set had an awkward fit—the top felt too tight in the neck and the shorts bunched up both in the front and the back. Hard pass due to the shorts.
Rest Easy Dolman Sleeve Hacci Top in Soft Sage by SEAS (XL) - $72
Same as earlier with the joggers—this top is incredibly more vibrant in person than online. To me, it seemed to be more of a bright sage green. It felt great on but didn't look very attractive.
Malibu Muse Lounge Dress in Charcoal by SEAS (XL) - $79
Ha, I probably should have realized that the model wearing this item online was 5'11''.
I'm 5'6" and this dress was dragging on the ground. Instead of feeling like a classic, chic nightgown it wore more like a drape.
So, Did Wantable Sleep & Body Woo Me?
I debated between the first two items in my first Wantable Sleep & Body box. Ultimately, I decided to go with the Textured Essentials Top in Heather Grey! I've been wearing this top nonstop, and I recently wore it over a jumpsuit when visiting Rosie Mae's Alpaca Farm with my family for spring break.
Sure, it's not a statement piece, but I couldn't resist having another light sweater. Especially one that's perfect for mornings on the go or to wear while I'm working. It was so comfortable on and I could pair it with plenty of tops from my current wardrobe.
To get the full Wantable experience I'll be revisiting Style Edit and also trying out at least one of their Themed Edits. Stay tuned for my continued shopping spree journey with Wantable-I can't wait to see what they send me next!
PS - I've still got $349 credits left to use and my goal is to score at least 3-4 more items.
