CatLadyBox Review “Orange Cats Box” April 2025

CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $35.99 per month CatLadyBox has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy CatLadyBox contains everything from the CatLadyBox plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy CatLadyBox.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

I absolutely adore kitty cats! In my 36 years, I have never known life without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 16 year old best friend named Miley Mae. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!

Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! I only have one precious feline, but I absolutely adore this subscription. Seeing this brown cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in black tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

Along with the items, this box also includes an info sheet featuring custom artwork on the reverse side. This month's art, created by Boris Kasyanov, showcases a brightly colored painting of a fuzzy orange kitty sniffing some dandelion seeds. I love this inclusion—while it’s technically just a content card, the artwork is perfect for adding a pop of fun to your fridge or bulletin board!

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box

Orange Cat Energy Tee - Listed Value $22.99

Comfy tees are where it’s at for me, and this month’s “Orange Energy” top is ultra cute. Made from soft pink cotton, the tee features an “Orange Energy” logo with a chubby kitty lying on its back. Since the tees are unisex, I ordered a medium, and it fit me well. The orange-and-pink combo is a perfect nod to the upcoming spring season, and the whole vibe is spot-on.

Back in the day, Miley had one batch of kittens, and one of them was a big orange male we named Cordell. He lived a long, happy life with one of my co-workers and spent most of his time on his back, lounging on the couch. What a great little tribute to all the orange beauties out there—I love this inclusion!

Orange Kitten Pot - Listed Value $14.99

The next item I received was an orange kitten pot stuffed with a faux succulent. I love plants, so this was a great inclusion for me. The glossy orange ceramic pot is abstractly shaped like a cat, featuring tiny ears and a little tail. It’s a lovely statement piece that gives a subtle nod to cat lovers without being over the top.

I’ve had real succulents before—and had them die—so I really appreciate the faux version. It’s much easier to care for! Overall, it’s a great way to kick-start my spring season with some greenery that doesn’t add to my to-do list.

Orange Cat Umbrella - Retail Value $19.99

April in Minnesota has been pretty interesting, weather-wise. My son has already had four baseball games canceled due to snow—and now the rain has started. To combat the moisture, this month we received a bright orange cat-covered umbrella!

With varying hues, the pink background matches this month’s shirt color scheme perfectly and is sure to brighten up any gray day. The day I received this box, I actually used the umbrella to get to and from my car at work—and I really appreciated having such a useful item. Yay!

Billie Brain Cell Catnip Toy - Retail Value $5.99

The next item we received was a fuzzy little catnip toy for Miley. Like I’ve mentioned before, toys aren’t really her favorite thing, but she batted this silly guy around for a while. With multiple legs and a cute little embroidered face, it’s one of the cutest toys we’ve ever received. Plus, the orange color really brings out the pretty tortie patterns in my girl’s coat!

Retro Flip Phone Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99

I'm getting flack because my (almost) 7th grade son is the only kiddo in his class that doesn't have a cell phone, and now the cat gets one! 😂 I jokingly gave this to my son, and he did not find it amusing! Miley honestly wasn't all that thrilled either, but she did seem to like the catnip a tiny bit. She doesn't get crazy like some cats do when around this stuff, but she does get sleepy. She sniffed around this phone and then fell asleep near it. I guess that's just what old cats do.

Extra - Birthday Cake Toy - Listed Value $5.99

Not included on the card was a bonus toy! Miley’s birthday was recently, and this little slice of cake helped her celebrate the big 16. With a felt candle and an embroidered face, it was absolutely adorable and definitely made me smile. While she didn’t look that into it, she did rub up against the toy and gave it a few licks—I’ll consider that a win!

At 16 years old, Miley has been with me through so many of life's ups and downs. Everyday with her is a gift and I can only hope she lives forever!

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $34.99 per month (with a 6-month plan)+ free US shipping. Month-to-month cost is $38.99.

Value Breakdown:

  • Shirt: $22.99
  • Orange Kitten Pot: $14.99
  • Umbrella: $19.99
  • Brain Cell Toy: $5.99

Everything in this box is bespoke to the subscription, so I have to go by listed values (though some of the products will be available for sale in the CatLadyBox shop!) Key Takeaways

Cats are my absolute favorite animal (especially when my dogs are being extra naughty), and I love adding fun cat-themed items to my everyday life, which is where CatLadyBox comes in! I’m always excited to receive this subscription box and can’t wait to see what kind of shirt I’ll get each month. This month’s orange cat tee, succulent, and umbrella are all things I can enjoy (mostly) every day. And while the toys don’t get "played" with, they definitely get used as pillows! If you love fun, cat-themed items and are looking for a monthly treat for yourself and your feline friend, this subscription is perfect for you! I can’t wait to see what May brings!
