Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. For $14 per month, you get five full-sized or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so this review is for just one of the bag variations you might receive!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
First Impressions
One of my favorite features of the Ipsy Glam Bag is the excitement of the bag design. I’ve been a subscriber for years, and the fun designs (and of course, the awesome products) keep me coming back for more. To celebrate the arrival of April, we received a peach-colored bag adorned with daisies. Complete with a purple marble flower zipper pull, it was ultra cute!
Also included is a product card that features the "Spring into Self-Care" theme, information about the contents of this month's bag, and a peek at a few of the upcoming 2025 Edit by Nars.
Now, on to the items!
BENEFIT COSMETICS The POREfessional Deep Retreat Clay Mask - Estimated Value $20.00
The first item I received was this clay mask tin. It contains mineral-rich kaolin clay, sea fennel extract, and plum oil. This vibrant blue mask dries to a purple hue and works to draw out impurities, absorb excess oil, and replenish moisture in the skin. It's recommended for use once a week, and I found the results to be exactly as promised! My skin was a little angry and extra greasy this week, but this clay mask worked its magic. After just one use, my face felt back to normal—and so, so much better!
KIRAMOON Silkie Rinse Gentle Hydrating Cleanser - Deluxe Mini - Estimated Value $3.11
I wear a lot of makeup, so cleansers are definitely a must in my daily routine. I’ve tried tons of different brands, but I had never tried this one before. This version had a light cucumber melon scent and created a gentle lather that removed my makeup easily—especially my mascara, which is always a challenge. With enough product for several uses, I was definitely happy to give this cleanser a try!
BYROE Hydrangea Tea Intensive Hydrating Serum - Deluxe Sample - Estimated Value $16.30
Serum is another item I use a lot—especially now that I’m in my upper 30s. This version is packed with upcycled hydrangea tea, lavender, and blue agave leaf. It definitely has a lavender scent, and it smells soooo good! Designed to combat dryness and dehydration, it has a slight blue tint and dispenses slowly from the container. Only two to three drops are needed per application, so this travel-sized bottle will last quite a while—which I’m thrilled about, because it works pretty dang well!
RACHEL COUTURE Lip Duo in Champagne - FULL SIZE - Estimated Value $22.00
The next item I received was a lip duo from Rachel Couture. Lip gloss is definitely one of my favorite makeup items because it’s easy to wear, doesn’t get on my teeth, and gives my makeup look a polished finish. This tube contains two different shades—one shimmering soft pink and one clear. Both glosses are non-sticky, silky-smooth, and absolutely beautiful. I was excited to have a new version to tote around with me during my school days!
While there isn’t a huge difference, the soft pink shade does add a subtle tint, while the clear gloss simply enhances the natural color of my lips.
PINKY B BEAUTY Had Me At Primer - Deluxe Sample - Estimated Value $9.00
The last item I received was a deluxe sample size of primer. It includes bamboo extract, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin to create a smooth, glowy base. With a slight shimmer, this primer gave my skin a dewy look under foundation and helped it "stick" throughout the day without wearing off. I don’t typically wear primer very often, but I gave it a try for our Easter celebration—and it worked wonders!

Prepping for Easter was extra fun thanks to this month’s Ipsy! I had a lovely morning getting ready with the clay mask, cleanser, serum, primer, and lip gloss—all coming together to create a fresh Easter look, topped off with a wild hat!
Verdict
I love Ipsy Glam Bag and am always excited to try out new beauty products. While I have brands that I adore, I am always up for the option to try something new! This month I received five fun items that worked really well for me. My favorites being the clay mask, serum, and lip gloss. For $14, I was able to try some new skincare and makeup brands, and have been treated to an ultimate skin makeover! What do you think will be in store for the May curation? I can't wait to see!
