Medusa's Make-Up Beauty Box is a vegan and cruelty-free makeup subscription box from the popular indie brand of the same name. Each month you'll receive a box of 3-5 vegan beauty products for just $22.95 with free shipping, with a total value of around $40. The shades and colors are always unique and the packaging is super fun!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The April 2025 Box

As a beauty enthusiast, I have been a subscriber to a slew of make-up boxes. But Medusa's Make-Up is still pretty new to me. When the opportunity to review this box arose, I jumped at the chance, and couldn't wait to see what it was all about. After my first box, I became obsessed - so what does April's box have in store?! Read below to find out!

Wrapped in a beautiful pink foil mailer, it was love at first sight! I was so excited to see this in my mailbox that I actually jumped for joy! This month marked the first time in a while that we didn’t receive the products in the bubble mailer makeup pouch. But honestly, that was more of a bonus to begin with, as it was a fun addition for Medusa's birthday celebration box from a few months ago.

Kicking things off, we got an info card that lays out everything inside the box, complete with their retail values. This month's card featured a beautiful girl with some fantastic rainbow hair! I'm all about these spring colors! There’s no official theme mentioned, but I’m more than ready to dive in!

Glam Rock Eyeshadow (Rebel) - Retail Value $14.00

This month, the first item we got was a pan of glam rock eyeshadow, and it’s seriously stunning! The metallic silver shade is so pigmented, adding a cool "rock" vibe to any look—but you can totally tone it down for a more subtle effect too. Since pink is my absolute favorite color, I’m loving the design of the compact, and I was thrilled to get such a gorgeous, neutral shade for my everyday look!

As you can see here in natural light, this eyeshadow gives a beautiful shimmery look. This was with just one quick swipe, so it’s definitely buildable. When I paired it with a primer, it gave a gorgeous metallic finish and was so fun to wear.

Disco Queen Lip Gloss - Listed Value $14.00

When it comes to lip products, lip gloss is definitely my go-to. I love the look of lipstick, but unless it’s long-wear, I can’t stand worrying about smudging or stained teeth! This lip gloss, called "Last Dance," has a gorgeous pink-nude base with pink glitter. It was a bit more pigmented than I expected, but it went on super smoothly. It gave my lips hydration and a shiny finish, plus a cute pop of shimmer—without the worry of it smearing all over my face. Yay!

I am definitely loving this color - all that glimmers is gold right?!

Reusable Makeup Pad – Listed Value $6.00

Next up was a reusable makeup pad. This little circular pad comes with a tiny ribbon hanger and can be used however you like. I’ve been using it to help wash my face at the end of the day, but it could also be great for applying foundation. As I mentioned earlier, pink is my favorite color, so I’m definitely loving all these cute, girly inclusions!

Selfie Facial Cleanser –  Listed Value $12.00

Facial cleanser is definitely something that I tend to splurge on as I am reaching my upper 30s, but I was happy to receive this foaming version to stick in my sauna stash. Foamy and bubbly, this cleanser works great to wipe off the days grime and get back to the basics!

Creamy Satin Lipstick (Chicka) – Listed Value $14.00

As I mentioned earlier, I love lipstick, but if it’s not long-wear, I usually struggle. This creamy satin lipstick isn’t long-wear, but it’s absolutely beautiful. The shade is a deep, almost black eggplant, which gave me more fall vibes than spring, but I still loved how it looked. The creamy formula applied smoothly, and surprisingly, it lasted through a whole church service without needing a touch-up.

The color payout wasn't as deep as I was expecting, but I actually really loved it!

The Verdict

This month's curation of Medusa's Make-Up was great, but seemed a little light. With only 5 products, this was less than usual, though I did like everything and the retail value made up for it. My favorites were definitely the lipgloss, eyeshadow, and lip stick, but I also found the cleanser and makeup pad useful as well. Overall, I enjoyed all of this month's contents, but am hoping to see six items in the May box! What was your favorite item in this month's bag? Let me know in the comments below.

Keep track of your subscriptions by adding this box to your subscription list or wishlist!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the May box. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.

Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $60.00 worth of items this month with these five items. This is more than three times the cost of the box! That's definitely a good value for $22.95!
