First Impressions
I've been loving the seasonal quarterly boxes so it was a pleasant surprise to learn about this bonus mystery box. I'm excited to dive into some new and cool finds.
This leaflet has some of the answers to the questions you might have about the products included in this mystery box. I like that they include a brand bio for each item so you can learn more about these local, conscious AU & NZ brands.
Now, on to the items!
Zenj Australia - 'The Unwind' Soy Wax Scented Candle - Retail Value AU$25.00 ($15.46 USD)

First up, is this gorgeously-scented candle. I love candles and really appreciate the simple, minimalist packaging of this one. It also made the scattering of lavender on top of the candle a nice surprise. It's definitely a plus that it has a lid - I'm not sure if this is correct but I feel like it would help seal in the fragrance for longer. This pure soy wax candle with a cotton wick features a fresh and subtly floral scent of lavender and ylang ylang and is sustainably handmade in Victoria.
Grown Alchemist - Hydra-Restore Day Cream - Retail Value AU$59.00 ($36.49 USD)

Next up, is this super lush day cream from Grown Alchemist. I’m a total sucker for skincare that looks chic on the bathroom shelf, and this one’s sleek metal tube packaging has that kind of apothecary-cool vibe, which I love. The cream itself feels rich but not heavy—like it actually sinks in rather than just sitting on your skin. I’ve been using it in the mornings and my face feels soft and hydrated, without any greasiness.
For You Collective - Firm and Hydrate Body Cream - Retail Value AU$39.00 ($24.12 USD)

This deeply hydrating body cream has a nice thick texture and leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished. It has a slightly tingly feeling when I first apply it, which I expect from a firming cream. I'm not sure if the firming effects are real but it's a nice moisturizer regardless. The scent is a dreamy blend of coconut and vanilla—sweet but not overpowering, like a low-key tropical holiday in a tube.
Empire Australia - Bohemia Body Scrub: Sea Salt and Coconut Oil - Retail Value AU$9.95 ($6.15 USD)

Body scrubs aren't something I ever think I need but every time I use them I'm astounded by how super soft my skin feels. And this body scrub was no exception. It combines organic sea salt with coconut and orange essential oils, providing a refreshing exfoliation that leaves skin feeling smooth and invigorated.
Bayeco - Hydrate Instaplump Sheet Mask - Retail Value AU$5.95 ($3.68 USD)

I LOVE sheet masks—and this one was absolutely drenched in serum goodness. It was actually a bit slippery and tricky to put on at first, but once it was on, it felt super soothing. I left it on for 20 minutes and it still hadn’t dried out—I honestly think it could’ve stayed juicy way longer. When I took it off, my skin looked so glowy and refreshed. Plus, the fact that it’s biodegradable is a huge win in my book.
Pukka Herbs - Morning Berry Tea - Retail Value AU$8.50 ($5.26 USD)

I used to be able to have an espresso after dinner and go to bed just fine, but lately, I can’t even have a coffee after noon without it messing with my sleep. So, I’m always on the lookout for a caffeine-free pick-me-up for my afternoon slump. This vibrant and fruity tea is such a lovely alternative—it’s bursting with juicy blackcurrant and blackberry notes, balanced with a subtle tang from hibiscus. Bonus points for being organic and coming in compostable tea bags, too!
Retreat Yourself - Exfoliating Glow Mitt - Retail Value AU$7.95 ($4.92 USD)

I’ve recently gotten into fake tanning, and using an exfoliating glove like this is now a must-have first step to prep my skin. Physical scrubs are fun, but they can be messy—so it kind of blows my mind that I can get that same soft, smooth effect just with a glove. I also love that this one’s made from a natural cotton and linen blend—it feels great on my skin and is better for the planet, too.
Awesome Source - Non-Alc G&T: Red Grape, Orange & Pepperberry - Retail Value AU$8.00 ($4.95 USD)

I’m loving all the non-alcoholic alternatives out there lately, and this one is a good one. While it doesn’t taste like a G&T per se, it tastes really lovely and complex. It's perfect for those seeking a sophisticated, alcohol-free option that doesn't compromise on flavor.
Ritua - 7-Night Pack: Sleep - Retail Value AU$14.95 ($9.25 USD)

I’ve just finished the 7-day trial of SLEEP by Ritua, and I really liked it. The blend of Reishi, Passionflower, and Kava helped me feel more relaxed at night without that heavy, knocked-out feeling. I slept more soundly and woke up feeling clear-headed. Loved that it’s a natural option and AUST L listed, so it feels both gentle and trustworthy.
Dr. Bronner's - Rose Pure Castile Liquid Soap - Retail Value AU$6.95 ($4.30 USD)

I’ve been loving the rose scent of this Dr. Bronner’s soap—soft, floral, and not too overpowering. It lathers really well, and a little goes a long way. I use it mostly as a body wash, but love that it’s multi-use and eco-friendly. Definitely a great everyday staple.
Fodbods - Mint Chocolate Mini Protein Bar - Retail Value AU$3.75 ($2.32 USD)

Ah, I really wanted to like these natural, organic, and certified low FODMAP protein bites. I usually love anything choc mint, but these mini bars just weren’t for me. They had a chalky texture and a kind of cardboard-like taste that I just couldn’t get past. That said, I had one during my 3pm hungries, and it definitely kept me full until dinner—so points for that!
House of Sharday - Mini Fragrance: Wild Florals

I’m quite particular with my fragrances and tend to stick with one signature scent for a long, long time—right now, it’s Byredo Gypsy Water. So I don’t usually expect to love fragrance samples, and this one didn’t wow me straight away. It’s definitely pretty and floral, but maybe a bit too simple for my usual taste. That said, I’ve found myself more and more drawn to it over time, and the fact that it’s inspired by the wildflowers of Western Australia—and actually made there—is definitely a selling point.
Verdict
Overall, this box was such a fun discovery! From the lovely candle to the berry tea and the firming body cream, it was a good mix of different self-care products. The sheet mask was a highlight for me and I’m already planning on purchasing more of the non-alcoholic G&Ts. It felt like a little reminder to slow down and treat myself, which I definitely appreciated.
Value – Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: AU$69.00 ($42.68 USD)
Value Breakdown:
The total value of my box was AU$189 ($116.90 USD), which is almost 3 times the cost of the box. It’s just shy of the promised AU$200 value, but I didn’t include the fragrance sample—so with that, it likely adds up.
