Are These Self-Watering Plants Worth the Investment? I Found Out.

I've always loved the idea of having a house full of plants. Whenever I visit friends with plants, I convince myself to give it another shot. The thing is, when it comes to a green thumb I don't seem to have one. Whether it's figuring out how much water or light each plant needs, remembering to water, or sometimes watering too much. Plantcare is hard! And so my dream of a green home usually dies out – along with my plants – within a couple of months.

Then a friend told me about easyplant, which sells self-watering plants that you only need to fill with water once a month. Seriously? Sounded a bit too good to be true so naturally – being the skeptic that I am – I had to give it a try and see for myself.

Beautiful large selection of plants to choose from

The hardest choice was which plants to get because easyplant has such a beautiful selection to choose from. Their potted plants range from small, medium, large and huge to fit into any space – as well as a variety of pot styles and colors. They also have various packages to choose from, whether you want just 1 plant, or a pack of 3 to even 12 - it’s customizable for the best deal.

Personally, I chose a huge Fiddle Leaf Fig for the living room, a large Money Tree for my home office, a medium Heartleaf Philodendron near the kitchen window, and a small Aglaonema Beauty for my bedside table. Each came in a modern pot that fit my space perfectly—and for the larger ones, I added easyplant’s optional plant stands for extra height and style.

Plants arrive ready to display

Not going to lie, when I placed the order I didn’t know what to expect when they arrived. I thought there might be dirt everywhere in the box, and how could they possibly survive transit?

But when they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that they were healthy and intact. They each arrived in a separate box, the soil was protected with shrink wrap to avoid spillage and some pots were wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them. All I had to do was pull them out, unwrap and choose where to put them – they were ready to be displayed straight out of the box.

Perfect for those of us who lack a green thumb

If you’re anything like me, you may have held one too many funerals for your plants, if ya know what I mean… I get excited when I first get them, believing this time will be different. I try to do everything right – but within a few weeks, the plants seem to be on a downward health trajectory.

Since getting my easyplants, I’m glad to report that my record has changed for the better! The magic is in their self-watering pots that make it easy to care for them. They have a built-in reservoir that only needs to be filled about once a month – providing the perfect amount of water each plant needs to thrive straight to the roots. That means no more overwatering or underwatering or figuring out what each plant needs!

Besides the improved plant care, I love how quick and easy it is. I don’t spend forever watering all my plants every week anymore – it’s saved me so much time.

A guarantee for peace of mind, an investment worth making

The best part that gave me confidence in investing in easyplant is their 90-day guarantee that can be extended to a full year. They truly believe that their plants will thrive with ease and if you have any issues with your plants, they’ll replace them.

While they do have a higher price point, I’ve found the investment so worth it because my plants have lived so much longer, I haven’t had to worry about them while I’m traveling and I’ve saved so much time, mess and hassle while watering. And if you consider the self-watering pots are part of the price and the free shipping, it’s actually not that expensive.

So if you, like me, are looking for great plants to put around your house that practically take care of themselves, I highly recommend easyplant!
