Aurate Connection vs. Cartier Love: I Swapped My Cartier Necklace for this $400 Solid Gold One

I love nothing more than splurging on luxury items, especially Cartier jewelry. But if I’m being perfectly honest, their high price point has always made me second guess the purchase.

While Cartier designs are stunning, especially the Love Necklace, the price point is outrageous and one can only assume it is subject to insane markups from a traditional retail brand.

That’s why I am excited to share that I recently came across Aurate jewelry, and was shocked to discover they have a similar piece to the Cartier Love Necklace called the Connection Necklace. This stand out piece is equally as beautiful as my Love Necklace—for a fraction of the price.

Here’s what else I found when I compared the two:

For the most transparent, affordable pricing: Aurate’s Connection Necklace

The Connection Necklace is usually priced at $390 for 14k and $690 for 18k, but currently on sale for $273 and $483 with my exclusive discount code FANFAV30. Conversely, Cartier Love Necklace is priced at over $2,500 for their most basic style. Yeah, that’s a pretty substantial difference!

But Aurate’s real value is that it’s just as nice as Cartier in both appearance and quality. Side-by-side, it’s impossible to tell which necklace is priced lower.

The two gold circles are perfectly connected: representing a deep connection you have with a loved one, or maybe just yourself. 🙂 The chain is beautiful and delicate while still sturdy.

Lastly and best of all, I’m obsessed with how it won’t ever tarnish since I love to wear my necklaces 24/7, rain or shine.

Aurate wins not only on price, but also on quality.

How do they do it? This is all down to Aurate’s direct-to-consumer and made-to-order business model, keeping prices reasonable and avoiding brand markups.

You get exactly what you pay for—high end, luxury jewelry.

Cartier’s Love Necklace is stunning and well-designed, too, but the hefty price tag makes it more of an investment than an accessory. I’m always too worried about losing it to actually wear it.

For high quality solid gold, Aurate stacks up with Cartier

When I first opened up my Aurate Connection Necklace, I couldn’t get over the quality! It comes in 14K or 18K solid gold and is made with recycled, precious metals only.

Cartier also offers 18K gold, so I was happy that Aurate took care to both meet the standard of other luxury brands, but also offer a more affordable, yet still high-quality carat for those more price sensitive shoppers.

For ethically-sourced, sustainable gold:  Aurate’s Connection Necklace

Aurate is committed to ethical and sustainable jewelry. All of their products are made of 100% recycled gold. Plus, they work with small businesses to source their gems. I love that Aurate supports local communities and small businesses while making products that are good for the earth.

I also learned that Aurate annually holds campaigns aimed at supporting charities I love, donating a portion of their sales to great causes. Sadly, in comparison, Cartier doesn’t have a similar commitment to the planet or giving back.

The Winner is… Aurate!

So, in summary, because Aurate is committed to sustainability, is reasonably priced for incredible quality, I had to swap out my Cartier Love Necklace for Aurate’s Connection Necklace. I get so many compliments on my Connection necklace, and people often ask if it’s Cartier. To which I happily say - no, it’s Aurate

So excited to share this discovery with you and I can’t wait to continue adding to my collection with more Aurate pieces! Take a look at the Connection Necklace and all the customizable variations of the connection style you can find at Aurate.
