I thought this month from Bargain Bead Box was a lot of fun. I love all the greens and gemstones and it was a nice challenge to use the larger crystal beads. I was impressed with the variety of Celtic motifs among the charms, pendants, and links – that’s really a commitment to a theme. As for the theme, it was perfect for the month that includes St. Patrick’s Day but it doesn’t feel limited to being useful at only one time of year – you could wear pieces you made from these materials all year long if you have much green in your wardrobe.
There were just a ton of directions you could go with this month’s Bargain Bead Box, from simple stringing designs with similarly-sized beads to chandelier earrings and multi-strand necklaces to bold statement pieces. All of the colors went together very well. For maximum benefit, I would suggest getting some antique copper finish jump rings and wire or headpins and eyepins as you will reach for them again and again if you subscribe to this box (this finish pops up a few times a year). I loved getting so many gemstones (especially the tiny apatite), as well!
I did not calculate a value for Bargain Bead Box, as explained above, but I was definitely happy with this month’s offering. This was a fun month from Bargain Bead Box. I loved getting all the gemstones and I think the pairing of rose gold and pink was interesting, and probably not something I would have thought of on my own. It was also thoughtful of the folks at Bargain Bead Box to include jump rings and headpins, as not everyone will have a full set of findings in a rose gold finish (I didn’t until after my very first rose gold Bargain Bead Box a few years ago). I was also very happy to see a bunch of tiny beads as I’d been wanting to play around with small gemstone and crystals in a stringing project for awhile and I got to because of this subscription box.
