Basic Man Reviews

This was my seventh Basic Man review. So I now have boxers, socks, and a shirt for every day of the week. I’ve been wearing the shirts as undershirts for the winter. Now that the weather is warming up, I’ll be wearing the shirts by themselves. As I get older, I just want plain shirts and these are great. The boxers are great as well. I just wish they were a little more taut in the rear. The socks are typically on point. I just don’t think a fan of this split color style, but I’m certain my wife is. Although it wasn’t my favorite color, I’m picking the shirt as the best item this month. They are just so dang comfy. I felt this month’s items were just a tick above basic, and I like it. Just don’t get too crazy.

This was my sixth Basic Man review and this was the first time I received a repeat item. While I’m surprised they couldn’t think up more basic colors, I’m not complaining. As I say time and time again, I love this subscription exactly because it is basic. I could really care less what color my boxers are. I particularly like the shirts, which I wear very often. One more month and I’ll have a shirt for every day of the week. The socks, which I’ve said before, are the only one of the three items that really deserves an opinion. That is to say I know I’ll always like the shirt and, to a slightly lesser degree, the boxers. So in a roundabout way, this is a sock review and I personally liked this months socks. I’ve been wearing the ones from November a lot actually. So it stands to reason I would like these. Once again, Basic Man does its job and continues to do it well.

As a Basic Man myself, I continue to like this subscription. I particularly like the shirts, which I wear very often. The boxers are nice, but I don’t wear them as often as I wear the shirts. For me, I know I will always enjoy the shirt and, to a slightly lesser extent, the boxers. So the only thing I really have an opinion on is the socks. I think this is the first time that anything from this subscription has been a miss for me. The socks seem basic (in a good way), but the more I look at them the stranger they become. Like they tried to do two things, but ended up doing neither. While I’m not a huge fan of the socks, I do like the experimentation and applaud Basic Man for trying something different. I am just one opinion in a sea of basic dudes. Overall, I continue – and suspect I will always continue – to like this subscription.
