I didn’t calculate a total value for Sips by this month since the items aren’t sold online in the provided quantities and/or configurations. This was a pretty good month for me from Sips By. Although I do not care for lemongrass, the three non-lemongrass teas I received were great, and I can appreciate some things about the tea that did contain lemongrass even if it wasn’t my favorite. I learned about a couple of new brands, as well. I was really in the right place to enjoy the energy tea and plain black teas are always welcome, as well.

I have liked this subscription every month so far. I really feel they pay attention to the profile I filled out (MSA readers have commented that they received totally different boxes in a given month) and even though I did already have a full-size container of one of these, the other three were completely new to me. (And I guess the fact I got one I already bought indicates their matching algorithm is pretty accurate.) Although you may not be getting a really high value, ounce for ounce, I feel like this subscription can actually save you money in the long run. First off, you get to try a small amount of a product before committing to a full size purchase. You can’t just buy 3 or 4 servings in a store, you have to get a whole box, and what happens if you don’t like it? You’re stuck with the rest. Here, you are more likely to get teas you’ll like in the first place due to the profile, and you can try them in smaller quantities than you’re able to buy in stores or online, so there’s no getting stuck with a pound of something you don’t enjoy.

I feel like a broken record (if anyone even remembers what that means? or am I just showing my age here) but this was another good month for me from Sips by. I can tell that they are actually listening to my preferences, and I know from reader comments that I get a completely different package from other subscribers. So individual curation is spot-on. I never feel like the boxes are repetitive, I truly get a mix of black, green, white, oolong, and herbal, flavored and unflavored, and a wide variety of price ranges. (Sometimes you want something that won’t break the bank to buy a whole box and sometimes you want to try something fancier that’s out of your normal price range!) I also discovered three new brands this month, which is fun.
