How Splendid Spoon Works
When you join Splendid Spoon, you first select which meals you want to receive: breakfast, lunch, breakfast AND lunch, or breakfast lunch AND dinner. No matter which plan you choose, you will receive 5 days of meals each week. Breakfasts will be a bottled smoothie of your choice, lunches are either soups or bowls, and then dinners could be another soup or bowl, or you can also order vegan noodle bowls.
Every week you can go in and customize which recipes you get based on the availability that week. You can also skip a week whenever you need.
Reset Day: Splendid Spoon’s larger plans also include a reset day. The reset day consists of 5 light soups and is intended to be done every week. It is similar to intermittent fasting, where one day per week you have fewer calories and use the soups to keep yourself going all day. The meal plan with breakfast, lunch and dinner always comes with a reset day too.

Is Splendid Spoon Worth It?
If you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or all three meals of the day to be easy, light and vegan, then Splendid Spoon has you covered and is totally worth it.
If you aren’t looking for breakfast smoothies, if you are looking for more substantial meals for lunch and/or dinner, or if you don’t like the price compared to other less guided vegan options, then Splendid Spoon might not be for you.
How Splendid Spoon Compares to Other Top Meal Subscriptions
Splendid Spoon VS Sakara Life: Both are vegan subscriptions that require little prep, however Splendid Spoon is under half the price of Sakara Life. With Sakara Life, you’re getting more of a lifestyle with more intense detoxing, coaching, and community. That said, you still get a reset day with Splendid Spoon and very good vegan food. Splendid Spoon does cater more to breakfast and lunch than Sakara as well, with Sakara being more dinner focused.
Splendid Spoon VS Purple Carrot: Both are vegan meal subscriptions and are high quality with prepared options for fast eating but have a few big differences. First, Purple Carrot focuses only on dinners whereas Splendid Spoon specializes in breakfast and lunch but does have all three meals as an option. For price, you’re paying about $9.50 a meal with Splendid Spoon and paying $11.99 per meal with Purple Carrot. However, with splendid spoon that price is for breakfast and lunch for ONE person, whereas that price for Purple Carrot is for 2 people, 4 dinners per week -- highlighting how they cater to completely different needs. One option for vegans who love meal subscriptions would be to subscribe to breakfast and lunch with Splendid Spoon, and get Purple Carrot for dinners!
Splendid Spoon VS Daily Harvest: These are both vegan delivery subscriptions, and that’s about where the similarities end. Splendid Spoon is a very guided experience where you are delivered your meals for the week and while you do have some choice, it is limited. Daily Harvest on the other hand is entirely about filling your box with anything your heart desires - smoothies, meals, snacks, drinks, desserts, and beyond. Daily Harvest is priced based on what you choose to order as well, so the pricing is highly variable.
