Returning to Learning: MSA's Back-to-School Guide for Kids and Parents
Back to school is a little different this year—or, a lot different, really. Here at MSA, the conversation about back to school started with the members of our team who are parents, and we learned that now more than ever, on top of being parents and employees (at the same time), they also wear the hats of IT support, administrative assistant, school teacher, lunch service, PE teacher, dinner chef, and, oh yeah, some are also partners. Others are doing all of this totally on their own. 'Overwhelming' is an understatement. We want to support you, parents. So we've compiled this landing page with resources for your many roles in an effort to ease your burdens, even if just a little.

Education & Activities for Kids
In the words of our Head of People, Adriane, "busy kids = happy kids." This section features children's book subscriptions, educational subscription boxes with a focus on STEAM or art, and more. Whether you're needing non-screen activities for your school-age children before or after their classes, or have a preschool-age youngster who you need to keep busy while you hide in the bathroom to drink your coffee in peace, we sincerely hope these suggestions can help.
Clothing Subscriptions for Kids
For some, back-to-school clothes shopping is a favorite ritual that will be missed this year. For others, having the time to embark on such an activity, or feeling safe while doing it, isn't fathomable. Enter kids' clothing subscription boxes. A few of the parents on the MSA team have been swearing by these subscriptions for quite some time, and we have their reviews the prove it! Not only do they make clothing your growing child a whole lot easier, they also offer some excitement in the form of monthly mail days. We love this suggestion from our Product Manager, Lacey: for kids who are schooling at home this year, distinguish between playtime and learning time by having them change their shoes!
Meal Delivery for Families
Thrown-together desk lunches may do the trick for adults in a pinch, but the parents on our team can't say the same for their kiddos. There are some awesome (read: healthy but also yummy) meal kit options out there for kids and for whole families alike. Perhaps a well-rounded meal your little one will actually eat—that can be popped in the microwave for five minutes and ready—is the life hack you need. You know, to save you from having to play nutritionist on top of everything else on your plate.
Care for Parents
We've said it already, but we'll say it again: parents, we know you are juggling a lot right now. It might not feel possible to take a moment to yourself right now, but we encourage you to try. Connect with your partner or a close friend. Get your body moving to release some endorphins. Carve out some time to pop in earbuds and be guided through calming your mind. Or, heck, just indulge in something special just for you—a skincare item, an outfit you feel good in, or a small decor piece that makes you smile. You completely, utterly deserve it.
