Best CBD Subscriptions List

Updated March 24, 2021 to categorize boxes & update some pricing.

You've probably heard of CBD oil by now, but in case you haven't, it's a natural oil extracted from the cannabis plant. CBD (short for cannabidiol) is proven to have many health benefits, the most popular being to reduce stress and anxiety, aid with sleep, and relieve pain—all without the psychoactive elements that are typically associated with cannabis. And, yes, it's legal in all states in the US, no prescription needed! As CBD gains popularity, its subtle soothing effects can be enjoyed in a number of ways: there are tinctures you can drop in your tea or on your tongue, CBD gummies, CBD-infused drinks like sparkling waters and sodas, snacks, CBD lotions and creams for topical benefits, and even dog treats to calm your pup. Check out our 15 favorite CBD and weed subscription boxes below.

Budzy Box is hands down the best CBD subscription box IMO. High-end luxurious feel and expertly curated, black woman owned small business.

I LOVE Feals! I typically have a really hard time finding a good cbd company but the sugar & kush sounds lovely…thanks for the heads up !

I have tried four of these subscriptions and Hempcrate is by far the best! I’ve found so many of my favorite cbd brands from them and they provide educational material. The owners are also very nice and helpful- they personally respond to emails!

Allay Box is the best value. You get full size products so you can really figure out what works for you. And, the boxes are just beautiful.

I love Feals! I’ve been following them since they launched last year. I’ve tried tons of different brands and it’s the only CBD product that I’ve actually felt a difference with.

I’ve had my eye on Feals! I love their branding! Good to hear they have a great product, too.

Allay Box is fantastic, too!

I personally love hempcrate for their variety every month and how its shipped fast and discreetly. I have a broken wrist and shoulder, plus anxiety and a sleeping disorder. I was on so many meds amd had too many side effects even going blind once from a pill the doctor prescribed. So I had to find a natural alternative and boy has cbd changed my life. Hempcrate only uses certified 3rd party lab tested products so it helps knowing it’s good and clean products.

Another good one is Hempbin.

Just don’t bring your CBD items into Disney World. A 69 year old woman is suing Disney because security found a 1 ounce bottle of a labeled CBD oil in her purse, and she was sent to a detention center for 15 hours until her son could bail her out. The bottle stated no THC was in the product, but that didn’t matter. She was subjected to a search with drug sniffing dogs and even had a mugshot taken.

My point is, this article happily mentions it’s legal, but there’s still a lot of misunderstandings about the possession of CBD oil. And like others have said, it’s not properly regulated. When it became legal in OK, shops selling it popped up left and right overnight. I wouldn’t trust most of ‘em.

Here’s a link to an article about the poor woman. Not sure if I’m allowed to post links.

Oh my gosh, Beth, what a horrible and scary experience that must have been for that woman. I appreciate you sharing this perspective so, so much.

I don’t think that kit is available on Birchbox anymore. I tried ordering it when it 1st came out, but it sold out rather quickly if I’m remembering correctly. I do think some of the products are still available individually.

as someone with chronic pain in my experience, some CBD from charlotte’s web, an Epsom salt bath and 2 hours of Outlander can do a lot of good (: hope this helps Jane!

This list doesn’t include some well known subscriptions, including the one I get!

Reply ButtonReply

Christen Russo

Yes, Carol is right! B, please comment here with any CBD subscriptions you’ve tried and love, and we will consider adding them. We always welcome suggestions—our readers are always full of great intel!

Reply ButtonReply

carol

B, I don’t think that this list is meant to be entirely inclusive, or, exclusive (as in, leaving some out for some reason). If you wanted to send in some names, I’m sure they’d be considered for addition. I’d certainly be interested, in having more to choose from!
Whether you want to name the one you use, is optional.

Tammy

I have health issues that make this something worth looking into, but I have read that there is no regulation of these products, so no way of guaranteeing their quality. It really isn’t sold around my area. Something like this might be a safer bet than pulling something off of Amazon with no idea of who is really selling it. Thanks for giving me something to consider, and I would be interested in a review of any of these (maybe cheapest first 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Lina

If you go to a dispensary, everything is regulated, tested for both THC and derivative content, farms are regularly inspected, and you can get non THC containing products if you wish, and you can use cannibus if you do decide to. I am beyond grateful to live in a state that was a pioneer in both medical licenses as well as recreational consumption.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

There is no regulation and it doesn’t matter whether you get it from a subscription box or Amazon or a local shop, there still won’t be any guarantee of quality, or even that the ingredients are what the label says. It is also possible that one or more ingredients in these or any other supplements interact in a negative way with prescription medications; lack of information may mean the testing hasn’t been done rather than that there’s no interaction.

Bluebird Botanicals also 3rd party tests and puts the results of each batch on their website. They are extremely reputable. I have been using them for 5 plus years and I cannot say enough good things about them. I have never had a reaction or contraindication either.

Chris

I use Lazarus Naturals. They are 3rd party independently certified to contain exactly what they say it is.
Reddit CBD subreddit has a wiki with all the companies that test their product via 3rd party independent. They also have links to the results.
Always check before you buy!

Linda

Jane, I get the hemp crate and like it. I get the smalller box for now. I had seen some YouTube videos of reviews. Used a code off of one of them. I signed up for 3 months and got a discount for the full three months.
The more expensive box is supposed to be stronger CBD.

Reply ButtonReply

Jane

Yes! I would like to see any of these boxes reviewed. I’m tempted by the Hemp Crate “Health & Wellness” box.

I got “hit & run” by a drunk uninsured unemployed woman on New Years Day, so I was stressed out dealing with police & insurance & hurting, but didn’t want to take painkillers & muscle relaxants for more than a few weeks so I ordered full spectrum CBD oil per doctors suggestion (splurged on 5,000 mg) & couldn’t stand the taste of raw Hemp. Didn’t feel ANY calming effect since I just swallowed it instead of holding under the tongue for 30 seconds as directed. Tried a few more times with same result (lack of!). My friend teaches at Juvenile Detention & she is even more high strung than me so I asked her to try this CBD oil to confirm my “I bought a fake” theory. She took a dropper & 20 minutes later she was so Hakuna Matata that I gifted her that bottle.

So last month I bought Birchbox CBD kit & liked the square bath bomb. A LOT! In fact, more than any high-end expensive fuzzies. It was actually very “oily” and left my whole body very moisturized. I wish it wasn’t retailing at $16 or I would gladly repurchase it. I can’t say I felt relaxed because of CBD (+a cup of Epsom salt) or from sitting in the tub for 2 hours & watching The Outlander:)
The Vertly lip balm smelled like real roses but not overpowering. It is a bit “waxy”, not smooth like “Fresh” Rose balm from Sephora. It also does not stay on long. Yes, I’ll use it up (it has the screw cap just like the Fresh so it doesn’t open in the purse) but I wouldn’t be buying it again for full price
The CBD night patch did not help me sleep at all & I kept trying to rip it off my wrist. Definitely not worth $12. I was really excited to try a very pricey Saint Jane (because it’s my name) serum & was expecting clearer skin not more breakouts in the morning. I guess the oils didn’t agree with my oily skin. The Standard Dose honestly had no calming effect on me. Maybe because I have a high stress job + teenagers at home? Or maybe redheads need a “horse dose” ?
The muscle rub in Birchbox kit contains capsaicin (= burns like Bengay!) & wasn’t potent enough for tight muscles. The CBD cream from FFF add ons smelled very herbal but worked wonders on football injuries. My most favorite CBD Discovery was $9 Cannuka lip balm sent by Ipsy, which I ended up buying 6 at Ulta on Black Friday so my guys wouldn’t fight over it. Looks like I’ll be buying this lip balm whenever it’s on sale as long as they make it since I use it myself every night before bed. Not for the CBD but it just feels so good & smooth on the lips! Not waxy & sticky like Burt Bees. I’ve tried Cannuka body balm & wasnt super impressed. I’m glad I swapped for a sample of it before buying a full size ($58 even with 30% off is still not cheap & I would have regretted the splurge).
I haven’t tried the remaining 2 samples in Birchbox kit so I can’t say if it worth $42 for me to repurchase.

Since CBD products are pricey & half of what I tried I ended up not liking, I am still unsure about getting on CBD wagon & spending $50-$100+ a month subscribing to any of the CBD boxes mentioned. I would very much like to read honest MSA reviews by “regular women” like me not glowing “high” reviews found on MJ sellers websites. Hope my “review” was useful to someone.

I get the hempcrate . I have severe arthritis and back injuries from abuse when I was younger. Terrible anxiety, insomnia, phantom pains from so many surgeries and migraines from excessive fluid on my brain. I can’t take pain pills they make me sick. After a month of using the stuff in the hempa the explorer box pro everything has greatly reduced. Now that I have this sinus infection taken care of even my migraines are getting better. I really can’t believe how much it has helped my back and joint pain. I also take the tansai 300mg CBD capsule once a day. My skin even looks better. You can follow what I get on insta lydias_sin. To see what’s in the box. I just got my second one and will post it today.
