Living the vegan lifestyle isn’t always easy (even if it is healthy, eco-conscious, and, well, awesome). Shopping for groceries and beauty products requires a careful reading of ingredient lists — provided that ingredient lists are available in the first place — and even if you’re lucky enough to find vegan-friendly products, keeping a steady supply can be tough.
Vegan subscription boxes make life much easier. By buying from a trusted company, you can keep your home stocked with a variety of nutritious foods, helpful vitamins, and cruelty-free cosmetics. The subscription model saves you time and gives you something to look forward to, and in our experience, there’s no better way to find out about exciting new products and brands.
We’ve collected a list of our favorite vegan beauty boxes, vegan food boxes, and other vegan-friendly services. Our list is based on actual reviews, and we’ve included promo codes and links to help you save. Whether you’re experimenting with veganism or fully committed to the lifestyle, you’ll find something to love — and we’ve done the research to help you know exactly what you’re signing up for.
1. Green Chef - Vegan Meal Subscription Box

The Cost: Vegan plans start at $11.99 per meal. Subscribe here!
ACTIVE DEAL: Limited Time Only! Free Salads for Two Months + 50% Off Your 1st Box. No coupon needed - just use this link.
Why we love it: We’re covering several vegan-friendly food subscription boxes in this list, but Green Chef is our top pick for its affordable pricing and extensive meal selection options.
We’ll note that this company offers options for omnivores, too, but their plant-powered subscription option was one of the first on the market. As with most other meal kits, Green Chef delivers pre-portioned ingredients with recipe cards to guide you through your cooking. The recipes are available online, so check them out — we’re impressed by the variety and quality of the ingredients.
Green Chef only uses recyclable, reusable, or compostable packaging, and their foods are free from GMOs, pesticides, and antibiotics. Most recipes can be prepared in about 30 minutes. Subscribers can easily skip deliveries or cancel the service online.
One important note: The plant-based meal subscription isn’t 100% vegan, so you’ll need to watch your upcoming recipes and trim out the vegetarian options. That’s fairly straightforward, but be aware. Most recipes are vegan, however, and the service clearly calls out dairy ingredients.
Check out our Green Chef reviews and our Green Chef details for more information on subscribing. Ships to most of the continental US.
2. Purple Carrot - Vegan Meal Delivery Service with 100% Plant-Based Food

Image from our review.
The Cost: $11.99 a meal for the 2-serving plan, $9.99 a meal for the 4-serving plan. Subscribe here!
Why We Love It: Purple Carrot is another vegan subscription meal kit. What sets them apart: They don’t offer any meat options whatsoever, and 100% of their meals and snacks are vegan. You can also select gluten free and high-protein subscription options.
From cozy comfort foods to refreshing salads, Purple Carrot‘s recipes are sure to broaden your repertoire. There’s no commitment, and you can easily skip meals when necessary or choose add-ons like packaged snacks.
Purple Carrot offers options for breakfast and lunch, and while their recipes are easy to prepare, there’s a great deal of versatility. From Caribbean sweet potatoes to veggie tortas, you’ll explore a world of plant-based cuisine from the comfort of your home.
The company’s packaging is mostly recyclable, and their non-toxic ice packs keep your food fresh without endangering the environment. At about $11.99 per meal — less, if you’re ordering the larger plan — this is easily one of the best vegan subscription boxes we’ve found.

3. Splendid Spoon - Ready-to-Eat Vegan Meals

Image from our review.
The Cost: Plans start at $65.00 a week, but you can save per meal with longer subscriptions. Subscribe here!
Why We Love It: Part of the appeal of vegan subscription boxes is the convenience, and Splendid Spoon makes on-the-go nutrition much simpler. This is a food subscription service, but with a twist: You’ll receive smoothies, soups, bowls, and wellness shots, all of which are free from gluten and GMOs.
If you’re trying to establish sustainable eating habits, Splendid Spoon can help. Meals can be enjoyed cold (in fact, that’s recommended for nearly all of their products), so you can enjoy a quick energy boost without popping to the office kitchen.
Subscribers can select from the full Splendid Spoon menu to tailor their eating. Alternately, you can let each box surprise you — all of the foods are delicious, and the company has options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Check out our latest Splendid Spoon reviews and our Splendid Spoon details for more information on subscribing. Ships to the US.
4. Ritual Vitamins - Vegan Vitamins with Traceable Origins

Image from our review.
The Cost: Shipments start at $30 per month. Subscribe here!
Why We Love It: A balanced vegan diet can provide plenty of nutrition; by this point, most of us know that the whole “vegans don’t get enough protein" idea is a myth.
Still, supplements can play an important role in wellness. Ritual Vitamins are vegan, and they’re also free from gluten, GMOs, allergens, artificial colors, and synthetic fillers. The company is dedicated to traceability and science — they don’t make wildly inaccurate health claims, and while no supplement is regulated by the FDA, Ritual Vitamins takes care to provide detailed information about the contents and capabilities of each product.
The service offers multivitamins for virtually every age group and gender. That includes prenatal vitamins and post-menopausal vitamins. With plans starting around $30 per month, it’s an affordable way to start supplementing — or replace those non-vegan vitamins with an ethical, traceable upgrade.
Check out our Ritual reviews and our Ritual details for more information on subscribing. Ships to the US for free.
5. Hungryroot - Vegan Groceries, Meal Kits and More

Image from our review.
The Cost: Plans start at $59.94 plus free shipping, and vary depending on your subscription level. Sign up here!
Why We Love It: Hungryroot isn’t just a vegan food subscription box — by offering the ability to purchase groceries individually, the service cuts out unnecessary trips to the supermarket.
Set your food preferences when signing up, and Hungryroot will offer a selection of curated vegan products. The service has additional options for other dietary considerations (for instance, paleo or keto diets), but you’ll have to spend some time reading the descriptions while shopping. Fortunately, the simple online store makes that easy.
After signing up, Hungryroot chooses some recipes for you and fills your shopping cart with everything you’ll need to cook. Make substitutions, add products, or remove everything and start over — it’s up to you. Many recipes can be completed in 15 minutes or less.
It’s a novel approach to shopping, and by combining an online grocery store with a meal kit, Hungryroot offers plenty of versatility for vegans.

Image from our review.
The Cost: $26 a month. Subscribe here!
Why We Love It: Kinder Beauty Box is a subscription service specializing in 100% vegan and cruelty-free beauty products. That’s right on the front page of their site; you won’t find any items that betray those principles, so you can browse their full selection with complete peace of mind.

Most importantly (for us, at least), the products are outstanding. They’re free from parabens, sulfates, EDTA, siloxanes, talc, and other potentially toxic substances, and each brand has been carefully vetted by Kinder’s curators.
Kinder donates a portion of all sales to animal rights and environmental charities. We’ll cover some other great vegan beauty boxes in this list, but this is a great place to start.
Check out our Kinder Beauty Box reviews and spoilers for more information on subscribing. Ships worldwide (free to the US, varies internationally).

Image from our review.
The Cost: Prices range from $5.99 to $8.99 per cup, with discounts for longer subscriptions. Subscribe here!
Why We Love It: All Daily Harvest soups and smoothies are unrefined, vegan, and made with mostly organic ingredients. That includes superfoods, so each meal will pack a nutritional punch (in a good way).
The price per meal is low, even compared to some of the high-value options we’ve included on this list. You’ll be able to subscribe by week or month, and the prep is easy; blend or heat your cup, and you’re ready for a delicious vegan meal.
Pick from the Daily Harvest best-sellers or choose your own cups to get started. Flavors like rippled berry compote and mint + cacao will keep your sweet tooth satisfied (without the added sugar), and there are plenty of savory options, too. Whether you’re eating soups, oat bowls, smoothies, or snacks, Daily Harvest’s farm-frozen foods deliver a satisfying experience.

Why We Love It: Smoothies and soups are fantastic, but sometimes you want a hearty meal — and if you’d rather not cook, Mosaic Foods' meal kit services are an appealing option.
This prepared meal delivery service sends 8 plant-based meals at a time, setting you up with quick lunches or dinners prepared by expert chefs. Mosaic sends the meals frozen, and they can be kept in the freezer for 3+ months. Microwave for a few minutes, and you’re enjoying a nutrient-packed bowl of real food. No work, no cleanup, just dependable deliciousness.
We love that Mosaic‘s entire selection of noodle bowls, risottos, and veggie bowls are free from artificial ingredients and chemical preservatives. They range from 400-600 calories; most options are safely vegan, but you’ll find a few vegetarian meals with animal products like cheese and eggs. These are clearly marked on the menu, so look for the “V" icon when making selections.
