Best Wallet Tracker Of 2025: Only One Stands Out

We’re all guilty of misplacing things from time to time. Still, if there’s one thing you really don’t want to lose, it’s your wallet. I’ve tried a bunch of different mobile trackers, but I’ve always had a hard time finding one that slots nicely into my wallet. Most trackers are bulky or coined-shaped, and they don’t fit well.

So, we decided to try out the top slim wallet trackers on the market, compare them, and figure out which one is the smartest. Here's what we found:

For Easy Tracking and Loud Ringing… Ekster

To start, Ekster’s Finder Card wallet tracker uses Apple’s “Find My” app and worldwide location network, which means setup is super easy and tracking is available anywhere in the world.

By integrating seamlessly with Apple’s tracking technology and interface, Ekster is able to give the Finder Card standout features like “left behind” alerts that notify you when you’ve strayed too far away from your missing wallet.

My favorite feature, though, is the loud 95 dB ringer. Not only can you use any Apple device (yes, even an Apple Watch) to ring your Finder Card, but you can do it from an impressive distance! The 300 ft Bluetooth range means you could ring your missing item from across a football field and hear where it’s hiding.

The Tile Slim’s loudest ring is 82 dB and has a 250 ft range, both of which fall short of Ekster’s Finder Card. Chipolo’s CARD wallet finder has a comparable ring decibel to Ekster’s at 95 dB, but it only has a 200 ft Bluetooth range.

For Months-Long Battery Life… Ekster

Having used other trackers that require frequent charging or replacement because they’re single-use devices, it’s so convenient to recharge my Finder Card (about once every six months or so), and enjoy long-term peace of mind that my wallet is always within reach.

Speaking of peace of mind, it’s a big bonus that the Finder Card is water-resistant. You never have to worry about accidental spills. Dropping your wallet in the rain won’t put a stop to its tracking power.

The Tile Slim tracker’s battery lasts up to 3 years, but it’s not rechargeable or replaceable, so you’ll have to buy a new one when it dies. Chipolo’s CARD doesn’t have a replaceable battery either, but they offer recycling and a 50% discount on a new tracker.

For a Sleek, Timeless Design… Chipolo and Ekster

When I first took Ekster’s Finder Card wallet tracker out of the packaging, I immediately noticed how nice it felt to handle. It’s super slim and lightweight, but durable enough to throw in a suitcase, backpack, or—of course—a wallet.

Ekster’s Finder Card is 2.4 mm thin—only a bit thicker than a U.S. coin. The Tile Slim is 2.5 mm. The Chipolo CARD is the thinnest at 2.15 mm, but again, it’s not rechargeable, and the range is shorter (200 ft).

For a Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation… Ekster

The features and design of the Ekster Finder Card are terrific, so seeing that Ekster has long-running commitments to environmental sustainability was the cherry on top.

On top of offering goods made from recycled car windshields and sustainable LWG-certified leathers, Ekster is a certified B-Corp and on their way to achieving 100% carbon neutrality

Tile’s brand, Life360, doesn’t comment much on sustainability. It’s great that Chipolo offers a recycling program for old trackers, but it’s still waste at the end of the day. Ekster’s rechargeable Finder Card is definitely my pick here.

Ekster is Best For Life On the Go

I’ve gotten so much peace of mind out of Ekster’s Bluetooth Finder Card, and I don’t plan on taking it out of my wallet anytime soon (except to charge it, of course).

If you want to pick up some of Ekster’s other outstanding items, there are lots of ways to bundle them with the Finder Card and save on both. Head to Ekster’s website and find out why they have over 40,000+ 5-star reviews!
