CAKES vs. Nippies: Which Nipple Covers Take The Cake?

Finding the perfect nipple covers can feel like a never-ending quest. You want coverage, comfort, and a seamless look, all without that sticky, irritating residue.

After trying both CAKES OG Nipple Covers and Nippies Silicone Nipple Covers, I’ve got some real thoughts to share.

If you’re a size B or bigger, then go with… CAKES

CAKES’ OG Nipple Covers are seriously the biggest nipple covers on the market, and the coverage is amazing! They’re designed for B-DD cups, so if you’ve ever worried about peek-a-boo moments (we’ve all been there), CAKES have you covered. They also come in a few shades, and the Honey matched my skin perfectly, which made me feel super confident.

Nippies come in Size 1 (A-C) and Size 2 (D+ cups), but the biggest size is still smaller than CAKES. I didn’t feel the same coverage as I did with CAKES.

If you value comfort (no sticky residue), go with… CAKES

CAKES OG Nipple Covers are a game-changer. No adhesive at all! They use your body’s natural heat to gently grip your skin, which means no sticky residue and no weird peeling-off moments. Plus, they’re made from 100% silicone, so they feel super soft and breathable—even on long days.

Nippies rely on adhesive to stay in place. While they do the job, I found the stickiness a bit irritating. Taking them off wasn’t exactly the most comfortable experience. Not great if you have sensitive skin like me!

If you want seamless, undetectable coverage, then… CAKES

Okay, so this is where CAKES really shines. They have a super-tapered edge that blends perfectly with your skin, giving you a seamless look even under the tightest tops. I wore them under a white bodysuit, and you couldn’t see a thing—not even in direct sunlight. Also, the matte finish is so natural; there’s no weird shine or plasticky look.

Nippies have Invisifeel™ technology, which is supposed to blend in, but honestly, the edges were a bit thicker than I expected.

If you’re wearing loose clothing, go with… Nippies

I love how CAKES OG Nipple Covers feel—light, natural, and totally irritation-free. But here’s the thing: they’re meant to be worn with supportive clothing. Whether it’s a form-fitting top, dress, bathing suit, or sports bra, CAKES grip perfectly and stay in place. But if your outfit doesn’t provide that extra support, they might shift slightly.

That’s where Nippies come in. Since they have an adhesive backing, they stick directly to your skin and don’t rely on your clothing for security. So if I’m wearing something looser or less structured, like a flowy top or a lightweight slip dress, I reach for Nippies.

If you want the most bang for your buck, then… CAKES

CAKES OG Nipple Covers might seem pricier at $30 with free shipping, but here’s the thing—they’re reusable for hundreds of wears. Because they don’t rely on adhesive, they’re totally washable. So, in the long run, you’re saving money.

Nippies are $26.50, but no free shipping, which adds up. Also, since they use adhesive, the stickiness wears off over time. I’ll likely need to repurchase these every few months if I plan to keep wearing them.

My Verdict: CAKES takes the Cake!

After testing both, I’m 100% team CAKES OG Nipple Covers. They’re bigger, more comfortable, and genuinely invisible under clothes. Plus, no adhesive means no irritation or residue, which is a huge bonus. If you want nipple covers that you can depend on, CAKES is the way to go.
