Can Wall Pilates Really Help with Weight Loss? Here’s My Honest Review

Let me be honest right from the start: I was skeptical about Wall Pilates and whether it could really help with weight loss. I mean, how could leaning against a wall possibly make me shed the weight I’d been trying to lose for years?

But then I stumbled upon the Yoga-Go app and decided to give it a shot. Here’s what happened.

Starting my journey with Yoga-Go

I’ve always been on the lookout for convenient and effective ways to stay fit, especially as I get older. I don’t want to do anything that involves extensive set-up or has a high impact on my joints.

When I first heard about Wall Pilates, it sounded interesting but also a tad gimmicky. But I decided to try it, mainly because Yoga-Go promised a personalized experience based on my age.

Setting up my account was easy. The app asked about my goals, current fitness level, and specific areas of the body I wanted to work on. My favorite feature is the ability to target specific parts of the body because I wanted to focus on my core and legs, so the app made sure to include exercises for these body parts in my daily plan.

I loved that the process felt like a one-on-one consultation—and when it was complete, the app created a day-by-day plan just for me, which included a mix of classic yoga, stretching, and Wall Pilates.

Here’s how it went:

I was genuinely surprised by how convenient it was!

Initially, I was worried that the short workouts wouldn't be enough, but Yoga-Go's 7 to 30-minute sessions proved me wrong. First off, I could easily fit a session into my morning routine, during lunch breaks, or at the end of the day. Secondly, each session is designed to burn up to 200 calories, so there’s no wasted time!

Three weeks in and I haven’t repeated a workout

I’m one to get bored if I’m stuck doing the same routine every day—it just doesn’t work for me. But Yoga-Go has over 500 yoga moves and Pilates combinations to ensure each session keeps me engaged and challenged.

The Wall Pilates, in particular, surprised me. I found myself engaging muscles I didn’t even know I had! Who knew it could be so effective?

Alternating between Pilates, classic yoga, and relaxing yoga helped me develop strength and flexibility without getting bored.

The workouts really changed based on my progress

Here’s something that blew my mind—as I got stronger, the intensity of the workouts increased. The app’s AI-powered plan kept updating my sessions to align with my progress and goals.

Here’s how it works: If you complete a workout and feel it was too easy or too hard, you can give feedback. The app then tweaks future sessions to better match your progressing fitness level.

Another thing I appreciated about Yoga-Go was its 28-Day Challenges. This helped me to stay consistent in my workout efforts while continually challenging myself. It was nice to feel like I was working towards a defined goal.

Yoga-Go also tracks your progress, showing you stats and achievements to keep you motivated. Seeing how many sessions I had completed and the calories I’d burned over time was also a huge motivator.

My results were beyond weight loss…

Now, let’s talk results. After a month of consistent use, I was shocked to see a noticeable difference. Not only had I lost weight, but I also felt stronger and more flexible. I was starting to see tone in my legs and belly, my posture improved, and I had more energy throughout the day.

But the benefits didn’t stop at physical changes. The relaxing yoga sessions were a fantastic way to unwind after a stressful day, and I found myself looking forward to my time on the mat as a moment of self-care.

The verdict: Yoga-Go is now my go-to fitness routine

I started this journey as a skeptic, but Yoga-Go has completely changed my perspective. If you’re on the fence about Wall Pilates or looking for a comprehensive fitness app, I can’t recommend Yoga-Go enough.

It’s free to download, and with introduction subscription options ranging from $15.19 per month to $44.99 for six months, it’s a worthwhile investment in your health. Give it a try – your body (and mind) will thank you!

So, that’s my honest review. Have you tried Wall Pilates?
