Any other foodies out there? If I could list eating as one of my hobbies on those personal surveys, I would. But what I don’t love as much is the cooking and prep part. Plus, I already work enough, so I like trying meal delivery services that take out the heavy lifting, leaving just the fun part–eating!
Recently, I tried two different meal delivery services, Eat Clean and Factor, and one is definitely better than the other. I’m sharing my thoughts so you can decide which works for you:
If tasty, unique recipes are important to you…Eat Clean
Eat Clean takes the cake here for serving up absolutely delicious, totally unique meals like I’ve never seen in another meal delivery service. The 12 Hour BBQ Pulled Pork with Plantain Mash tasted like it literally slow-cooked for 12 hours, and the Garlic Butter Sea Bass with Organic Jasmine Rice was so flaky and herby. From yummy Italian meals to indulgent breakfasts, Eat Clean’s meals pack a flavorful punch.
If you're looking for cheaper meals...Eat Clean
In comparing Eat Clean and Factor's 6-meal options, Eat Clean starts at $11.58/meal, whereas Factor starts at $13.49/meal. If you're selecting the 14 meal option for both services, Eat Clean costs $8.60/meal while Factor costs $11.49/meal. Not only are Eat Clean's meals delicious and high-quality, but snagging them for under $10 is a steal. Sign me up!
If you want clean meals that are ready-to-eat in 5 minutes…it's a tie
I'm a busy gal, so I prefer the instant gratification of diving right in versus spending hours in the kitchen! Eat Clean’s meals are fully cooked and only need to be microwaved for 3 minutes, then left to sit for 2 minutes to cool before eating. Factor meals are also ready-made, meaning all you have to do is heat & serve, much like Eat Clean's meals.
Both Eat Clean and Factor's meals are free from hormones, antibiotics, refined sugars, GMOs, and preservatives. You can rest assured that with both meal delivery services, you're getting fresh, high-quality, meals that have everything your body likes and nothing it doesn't.
If you never want to repeat a meal...Eat Clean
Eat Clean really brings variety to the table–their menu features around 50 items weekly, and they change around 10 items per week so you're never at risk of eating something you've seen before! On the other hand, Factor offers 35 items on rotation every week, and they add 2-3 new meals to their rotation each week. I'm a big fan of mixing it up, so for me, Eat Clean wins out here.
If you follow a special diet…Eat Clean
Eat Clean offers a traditional meal plan, which has a little bit of everything, but there are also Paleo, Keto, and Plant-Based menu options. Factor doesn't offer Paleo, but they do have Protein Plus and Calorie Smart options.
One thing I like about Eat Clean is that all their meals have little-to-no sodium, and Factor doesn't offer low-sodium meals. Additionally, Factor is not able to accommodate allergies, but with Eat Clean, you can input your allergy information and dislikes after checkout.
And the overall winner is…Eat Clean!
Both of these brands are great options for meal prep services, but Eat Clean is the winner for me, hands-down. The delicious meals, great price point, and variety make this meal delivery service my clear pick. If you're looking for ready-to-eat restaurant-quality meals at home, look no further than Eat Clean!
