This is a review of the $42.00 Crystal Variety Box.
First Impressions
The crystals were carefully packaged: nestled in sturdy paper and (separately) enclosed in bubble wrap. Unsurprisingly, the crystals arrived in perfect condition!
Enchanted Crystal includes an insert in their variety subscription box that has several QR codes that link to various letters on their blog. One links to a letter to new subscribers, another to their Crystal Library and one to the current month’s newsletter.
The Crystals
Cherry Quartz & Hematite Quartz Point (Bonus Crystals)
Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones in their box. The bonus stones that I received were 2 pieces of Cherry Quartz and a Hematite Quartz point.
Unfortunately, Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library doesn’t contain a listing for either stone but I was able to find interesting information about them elsewhere.
The Cherry Quartz stone has such a vibrant color. According to Crystal Viden, “It’s a human-made stone forged out of reconstituted Quartz. Forgers melt the silica-based material down to its molten state. Then, they add Cinnabar. Cinnabar is a scarlet-colored form of mercury sulfide. Combining the two minerals results in a milky, opaque stone with a distinct color. It takes on shades of orange, pink, and red. Some cuts may have inclusions of white or brown as well. Despite its human-made status, Cherry Quartz still plays a valuable role in crystal healing. The natural Quartz and Cinnabar constituents produce potent energy on their own. Together, they’re said to prove some potentially life-changing benefits and healing properties!”
The other stone that I received was a Hematite Quartz point. According to Crystal Life, “When we find Hematite Included Quartz we naturally assume that it will increase the energy intent of the Hematite. Knowing that both the Quartz and Hematite are both protective we can be assured that energy is a higher vibration and will assist in repelling the negative or discordant energies that come at us. Because of Hematite’s nature, we can become even more grounded and focused because of this combination.”
A great start. Now, on to the main event!
Sodalite
The first stone I unwrapped this month was a chunk of Sodalite.
According to Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library, “Sodalite is a rich blue mineral that forms in igneous rocks under specific geological conditions, typically where silica is deficient and chloride-rich vapors are present during the crystallization process. This leads to the formation of sodalite’s characteristic deep blue color, often interspersed with white veins or patches of calcite.”
The Crystal Library adds that, “Metaphysically, sodalite is known as a stone of insight and intuition. It is believed to enhance mental clarity and logical thinking, making it ideal for those engaged in deep, philosophical, or analytical thinking. Sodalite is said to foster a bridge between thoughts and feelings, aiding in the verbalization of emotions and promoting honest communication. It's also associated with calming the mind and easing anxiety, which makes it a great companion for meditation or any practice requiring deep concentration. The stone’s soothing blue tones are thought to encourage a tranquil state of mind, helping to align inner peace with external reality.”
Turkish Chalcedony Set
The second little parcel I opened contained a set of three pieces of Turkish Chalcedony.
The Crystal Library explains that, “Turkish Chalcedony, with its smooth and waxy luster, forms through the deposition of silica from volcanic activity, specifically in regions with a rich history of hydrothermal events. This sedimentary process often occurs in hot springs or along the peripheries of volcanic rocks, where silica-rich fluids precipitate to create the gem's subtle and inviting hues.”
Enchanted Crystal adds, “Metaphysically, Turkish Chalcedony is revered for its nurturing energy, believed to foster brotherhood and goodwill. It's said to absorb negative energy and dissipate it before it can be passed on, promoting a sense of peace and joy. The stone is also associated with enhancing mental flexibility and verbal dexterity, making it a supportive aid for speakers and those involved in negotiations.”
Rose Quartz Globes
These cute little Rose Quartz globes were a nightmare to photograph; they just wouldn’t stay in place! They were also so reflective that the ring of lights I used to photograph them is visible.
According to The Crystal Library, “...Rose Quartz is treasured for its warm, translucent glow and soothing pink tones that stand out in the gem world for their beauty and comforting aura. Metaphysically, Rose Quartz is known as the "Love Stone" and is revered for its heart-opening properties. It is celebrated for enhancing emotional healing, attracting new love, and boosting compassion and kindness. The crystal emits vibrations of love, promoting peace, calm, and contentment in healing and meditation practices. Rose Quartz not only helps to mend old wounds but also opens the heart to love, trust, and harmony, making it a perfect choice for fostering personal fulfillment and stronger relationships.”
I was really excited for the next crystal: a set of Pink Lemurian Quartz. I received a set of clear Lemurian Quartz in a past box and it was breathtaking so I was thrilled to see a pink variety.
According to the Crystal Library, “Lemurian quartz is a type of quartz crystal known for its unique appearance and metaphysical properties. It is believed to have originated in ancient Lemuria, a mythical lost civilization. Lemurian quartz is characterized by its distinct horizontal striations or "barcode" patterns on one or more sides of the crystal. The formation of Lemurian quartz is associated with a process called "seeding." According to metaphysical beliefs, ancient Lemurian beings encoded knowledge and wisdom into the crystals using these striations. It is said that they planted the crystals in various locations around the world for future generations to discover and access this ancient information.”
Enchanted Crystal adds, “Metaphysically, Lemurian quartz is highly regarded for its spiritual properties. It is believed to hold the energy of divine love, unity, and higher consciousness. The pink varieties are often associated with heart chakra, promoting feelings of empathy, forgiveness, and unconditional love. The striations on the Lemurian crystals are said to serve as access points to ancient wisdom, making them valuable tools for meditation, energy healing, and spiritual growth.”
Hemimorphite (Rare, Old Find)
Finally, my favorite crystal from the October box was Hemimorphite. It was very delicate so I appreciated the warning label on the parcel.
According to the Crystal Library, “Hemimorphite is a mineral that typically forms as stalactitic masses and is composed of hydrated zinc silicate. When formed as a crystal, it will often “crust” over a secondary mineral in the form of druzy or tiny crystalline structures. The specimen you are likely holding may be colorless white or a slightly-bluish which has crusted/crystallized over the earthy red iron-rich mineral Limonite.”
Enchanted Crystal adds, “Metaphysically, hemimorphite is believed to have a soothing and uplifting energy. It is often associated with emotional healing, self-expression, and communication. Additionally, it is believed to have purifying and detoxifying properties, both energetically and physically, making it beneficial for cleansing the chakras. Hemimorphite is considered a stone of harmony and balance, promoting a sense of well-being and alignment. As with any crystal, the metaphysical properties of hemimorphite can vary based on individual experiences and interpretations, so it's important to trust your own intuition and personal connection with the stone.”
Each month, a new grid design is printed onto a sturdy, hand-sewn cloth with water-based, PVC-free ink. The grid came with a QR code with a link to its backstory along with suggestions on how to best use it.
According to the blog post about October’s grid, “This month's crystal grid holds deep symbolic meaning. The 49 large dots represent spiritual growth and completion. In numerology, 49 is derived from multiplying 7 by itself (7x7), with 7 traditionally associated with mysticism, introspection, and higher understanding. This configuration of dots points to a journey toward enlightenment and a sense of fulfillment in spiritual exploration. The repeating circles create a Flower of Life pattern, a powerful symbol in sacred geometry that embodies the unity and interconnectedness of all existence.”
If you’re fascinated, there is more information on this unique grid in their blog post. I’m so happy that Enchanted Crystal explains each grid. I now have an understanding of their design, the significance behind them as well as how to use them effectively. Thanks to the recent blog posts, I’ve learned that these aren’t just pretty designs on a piece of fabric, the symbols are a link to the history of humankind.
The Verdict
October’s variety box from Enchanted Crystal was so exciting! I am particularly thrilled to have the Hemimorphite with its intricate and delicate crystal formations. I’m also in love with the Pink Lemurian Quartz. The story behind them is almost as fantastic as the rainbow glints you see if you turn them just right!
I’m still impressed by the Crystal Library that Enchanted Crystal created and continues to update. The crystals themselves are beautiful, but the story behind them is equally fascinating. As is the explanation of the monthly grid. The more I learn about grids and crystals, the more I realize that I still have a lot to learn and I’m so excited for the journey.
Though I’m still not a firm believer in all of the metaphysical powers attributed to crystals, I really do enjoy admiring and studying them. I love learning about how they’re formed within the Earth, their historical significance and how they’re currently used throughout the world.
I’m always excited to check my mail and see a new box from Enchanted Crystal!
