My quest for the perfect sheets began on a humid summer night, tossing and turning in a pool of sweat. My old sheets were stuffy, and not exactly the silky-smooth texture that makes you want to dive into bed.
That's when I decided to explore the world of high-quality sheets, specifically those that promise cool nights and acne-fighting benefits!
And thus, I landed on the Eucalypso Classic Sheet Set and Brooklinen’s Classic Percale Core Sheet Set. After testing both sets, I’ve got a winner… 🏆
If you’re looking to stay cool while you sleep… Eucalypso
When I hopped into bed with my new Eucalypso sheets, I could instantly feel the difference: they were soft and breathable, completely unlike the hot and decidedly not soft sheets I used to have.
These sheets stay cool thanks to Eucalypso’s DreamWeave™ Technology, which is a unique method of treating the fabric so it stays silky and cool to the touch. These sheets are also made with 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell fiber, which is 70% more moisture-wicking and 3x more breathable than cotton. In the middle of the night, I even turned my AC down…
On the other hand, the cotton Brooklinen sheets, while comfortable, didn't provide that same level of coolness. I kept waking up in the middle of the night from sweating. For all you sleepers who get as hot as a furnace at night, Eucalypso is your winner.
If you’re looking to fight the dreaded bacne… Eucalypso
The biggest surprise came when I noticed an improvement in my skin. I’ve always had problems with bacne, and the LAST thing I expected was that my sheets would clear it up!
The antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and antimicrobial properties of the Eucalypso work to fight that acne-causing bacteria over time, and you won’t have to wash your sheets as frequently. Eucalypso has been a powerful addition to my skincare routine so far—it’s becoming as essential to my clear skin as my cleansers and moisturizers are!
This was a game-changing benefit that the Brooklinen sheets, unfortunately, couldn't rival. They don’t have the same bacteria-fighting properties that Eucalypso has, so I didn’t experience any difference.
When it comes to shopping on a budget... it was a close call
Okay, we have to address the price. With the Eucalypso queen set at $179 and Brooklinen’s equivalent at $179-$189, it's a tie. It’s worth pointing out that Brooklinen’s prices change depending on what color set you choose—they have a Last Call section with some sets on sale.
But given my positive experiences, especially with the skin benefits and cooling properties, the Eucalypso sheets felt like a way better bang for my buck here. 💰
If you’re looking for an eco-friendly option... Eucalypso
As an advocate for environmentally friendly products, the sustainable practices of Eucalypso were a massive win for me. The closed-loop production process, which recycles 99.7% of all water and solvents, and the small-batch, chemical-free production, resonated with my eco-conscious ethos. 🌿
While Brooklinen's OEKO-TEX® certification deserves a mention, it couldn't quite match how eco-friendly Eucalypso’s sheets are.
And my favorite sheets are… Eucalypso
After taking both brands for a test run, I’m officially declaring Eucalypso the clear victor. Between the cooling properties, noticeable improvement in my skin, and eco-friendly production, it outshine Brooklinen in almost every aspect. Eucalypso is an amazing value for what you get, and they’re seriously worth every penny!
