I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I signed up for fashionista about 6 months ago or more and was put on a list which i believe im still on apparently. Does anyone know if there’s still a list. I had boxy, premium and luxe aawell as ipsy in all 3 bags along with fff. Im just sarting to wonder with all the issues between bixy and ipsy and all these added features….. If these items retailing outvof this world especially in skincare. I think they sell us expired but POA which means all they have is a period after opening date. That is really not good because opened or not a priduct looses atleast galf it’s potency just on expiration alone and then you might get 3 good uses after opening and if the POA is only 6 months as states on all fff add on items… Then your looking forward to further decline and into infection territory. I look at it like were only getting a sample amount of uses even in a so called full size item under that retail price. So in essence were paying fir a full suze item with sample uses. Someone tell me if my theory is off because im just really wondering if any of these items will harm my skin and paying for not what we think?

I have been a subscriber to Boxy Charm and Boxy Lux for almost a year now and have seen the quality of each sub going down of both boxes for the past 6 months. I think it’s about time to give them up and try a new sub. FFF has been pretty good the past 2 quarters and they have GREAT customer service! Thanks for all the AWESOME information on other boxes Ladies! Have a wonderful fall 🙂 Angie B

Wasn’t the Winter box great! Three years ago they had an awesome Spring box as well. I’m always quitting them and rejoining when I run out of Murad or other skincare items. Jeepers for the price of a year; that would only be 2 Murad items otherwise! Ipsy sends way too many shadow palettes. I just hope in five or ten years after I use up the first one, am the others will still be good! LOL Goodness! It seriously would take almost 10 years to use up the palettes I received in 2 months. LOL

Rebecca Van

I too am getting ready to cancel all my BoxiCharm subscriptions so I’m looking for a good makeup and little skincare products are you happy with FFF ?

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Need to keep an eye on FasionSTA!! They are brand new. Its $19.99 a month and you’ll get around $150 of full size name brand beauty items. I think they are going to grow really fast!!

Reply ButtonReply

Wiwah

Ashley, I agree! I got my first box last month and am excited someone (you?) mentioned it in the comments somewhere on here so I could try it having never heard of it before that. I have high hopes going foward.

I also have to say the FaceTory lux box is wonderful, as is every sub I’ve gotten from them. They always bring in the newest stuff, have lots of deep discount opportunities every week, and have fantastic customer service. If Boxy took a page out of their book as far as having well controlled expansion/innovation, and appropriate customer service, I think there’d be happier subbies right now.

Reply ButtonReply

Erica

I totally agree with you. Received 2 boxes so far and for 19.99 and no shipping and a retail value of around 150 your can’t go wrong. Their products are all full size and their customer service and the owner are amazing!

Regarding FashionSTA

Steph

I like How to be a RedHead, I always get full sized products in every box.

Heather

How to be a redhead!?! I’m a redhead! Never heard of it!!! I’m intrigued!

Reply ButtonReply

I love How to be a Redhead.

Alex

I want every single one of these boxes!

kiki

Liz,

does the Margo Elena box ever offer coupons?

thanks for your great reviews!! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Aarjullor

I’ve used a coupon both years this sub has been available. The first year, it was during Black Friday and the second came in a GMA box. The fall box will be my last unless a coupon becomes available again. I signed up for this sub before I even knew what Margot Elena even was. At the time, hell even now, $149.99+ up front was/is a lot, when I had zero idea what to expect. I refuse to pay more the third year, then the first and second. It’s my favorite sub, I’d hate to lose it.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

They did last year, but they haven’t yet this year. 🙁 I think a lot of people (including myself) un-subbed once their annuals purchased last year with a 20% off code ended this year, so hopefully with all of the cancellations they’ll offer another discount code to reel us all back in. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

kiki

Thanks for the info, Luna! 🙂

J L

Kind of surprised Beautyfix didn’t make the list

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

They don’t have all full size items.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

Yes there is always full sized items in Beautyfix! Should definitely be on this list! Beautyfix is my number one favorite subscription! Evertime I post it in my makeup groups many women say they have never heard of it and sign up right away. Its amazing!!!

Melissa

I’m glad to see that Pearlesque made the list!

Reply ButtonReply

mouthycole

Me too. Pearlesque and Boxwalla are my favorites. Oh and FFF. But not so much as pearlesque and Boxwalla.

Reply ButtonReply

Beccah

Kinder Beauty box! 6 months in and I love it! Great brands and all full size! You should add this box to the list. Plus it’s all clean beauty items for only $24 monthly.

Reply ButtonReply

Drminniecooper

The vegan cuts makeup box is on here, but does their beauty box also send full size products?

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

Vegan Cuts Beauty is monthly, so you will see smaller sizes. Vegan Cuts Makeup is quarterly, so we get a little more spoiled!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Not always. If they do, it’s typically full-size products that are on the small side like eye/lip liners, lip balms/glosses/etc. I think they mostly include deluxe samples with maybe one or two full-size products.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Speaking of hair care boxes, IMO, the best one a few years ago, for all hair types, was eSalon’s. I don’t know if it’s still around, or if it was DC’d. I got great prices and custom blended root touch up color ( My color has changed in the years since then but it was great at the time).

Reply ButtonReply

mouthycole

Esalon is still around. In fact I just colored my hair with an Esalon kit yesterday. They will send you, your first box for $10.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

ALL my faves are on the list, plus a few I’ve never tried. I need more $ to play!!

The Organic Bunny Box looks fab, especially. Would love to see more full size K- beauty subscription boxes. 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

Organic Bunny is super fun. I am always peeping over Marne’s shoulder while she is reviewing it!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Ugh…. my 6-month OB sub ends this month, and I’m super conflicted on whether I want to re-sub. I mean I WANT to resub, but I know I really shouldn’t. This was one sub I was planning on re-subbing to based on spoilers, but if my memory serves me correctly, once the spoilers are out (or the box is reviewed here) it’s usually too late to get that month’s box, so I’d be subbing blind. Decisions….

Luna

I think a couple of k-beauty boxes that weren’t mentioned are Bomibox and Pink Seoul (both their regular & Plus boxes).

Another green beauty box that wasn’t mentioned is Maple Blume. Also, British Beauty Box is all full-sized products too! Oh, and Mintd wasn’t mentioned either! These would fall into my “best” list anyways. 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

I just subscribed to the Beauteque Monthly Beauty Box. Not the mask one, as they aren’t my thing, but the one with multiple products.

It used to be almost as great as the Memeboxes were. I hope it still is. 😉

Nina

Also Beauteque! Just had to cancel my sub to that because of product overload but it’s a great box!

Jody

Forgot that I love New Beauty Test Tube as well!

Reply ButtonReply

Jody

That is a hard question which is my favorite. I recently got the Facetory quarterly box so that is favorite for K-beauty. I really like the Ipsy Glam Plus. Always a great value even if you only like 2-3 items. Boxycharm is the same if you only like 2-3 items for the price. You just can’t go wrong with any of these boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

Ipsy GBP is consistently SO good. I agree wholeheartedly about the value Even if I don’t care for multiple items, the value is still off the charts for the items I do, and the others make really great gifts.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Cool post 🙂 Who knew there were at least 21 beauty boxes that included primarily, if not all, full size products! It makes sense when I read this post, but I still would never have guessed. 🙂

Some other hair boxes that include full size products are Curl Kit & Curl Box. And Shtrands… but I’m not sure if they’re still around. I thought they closed.

Reply ButtonReply

Megan K.

I thought it would be a shorter list when I began, but I think it’s great there are so many with full sizes. I don’t know if I see full size hair products very often. Seems like a missed opportunity for sure.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Definitely! Curl Kit & Curl Box are really great boxes, but clearly they’re very hair-type specific. Shtrands was really good at its peak since they customized the box based on your needs & preferences, so it was a winner for everyone. I think in their last year they started to focus primarily on one brand, and that’s when I un-subscribed… and I think a lot of other people too.

Ronda

My favs have got to be.. in order
Facetory Luxe
Margot Eleana
Ipsy Plus.
Boxy charm… I am subbed for a year and really do not like the fact that we can’t skip a month or cancel future boxes and get a refund. Also do not like that you can only have one broken item replaced a year. If they package something wrong and it breaks, it should be on them every single time.

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha

In regards to Boxycharm, You can absolutely get more than one item replaced per year. I’m in Canada & unfortunately, have had several items arrive damaged just in the last few months. They’ve all been replaced, never had a problem. However, it’s true that you can only have one full box replaced per year if it’s showing as delivered by the post office/courier.

Reply ButtonReply

Brandi

Really? Wow! I have never had an item break with Boxycharm so I did not know of that policy. That is a horrible policy. I hope I never have to deal with broken items in my Boxycharm.

Reply ButtonReply

Ronda

Yeah, I was kind of shocked when I found out. I’ve had two products arrived just crushed (I could tell it was purely due to poor packaging) and I just tossed them cuz I felt they weren’t worth using my one and only replacement. It looks like I placed Boxy Charm on my list as favs when actually I meant to say I dislike them the most. I just dont appreciate what I’ve seen from the owner and customer service. He has called Ipsy Plus out for things and he is no better than them therefore has no room to speak ill of Ipsy.
It just comes down to ethics for me and I only like to purchase from ethical companies.
Facetory I list as number one cuz their shipping and customer service rocks!

Megan K.

I have mad love for Margot Elena too Rhonda. Everything is so pretty. I admire that you got that fir of an ordered list. It would be really hard for me to narrow them down to just a few.

Reply ButtonReply

Ronda

Been thru just about every single one of those subs. I’ve always tried at least 3 months of them with exception for NMNL.. so glad I only got one month of that. It felt like all dollar store items! Glad it didn’t make the list over any of the others. I do think Beauty Fix would be my next fav tied with Nourish. Also love an occasional FCS box. I’m able to take a step back now only receiving a couple boxes and all but one on pause due to relocation of citites and ponder on them all! Always love your reviews and you’ve helped me decide on quite a few and missing the ones I find a waste thank goodness to you!
