These are the diapers your baby will be wearing all throughout the day. (And probably sometimes overnight, if your diaper cart is as well-meaning but disorganized as mine is.)
Hello Bello diapers:
- These diapers are lightweight but offer full coverage. Their waistband hugs in close so that slimmer babies don't have gaps, and yet their flexibility makes them perfectly roomy for fuller-bodied babies.
- Hello Bello diapers have had a great track record for us, with no daytime leaks and only a single daytime blowout (the car seat strikes again).
- About 36 fun prints to choose from, some of which are seasonal and others that are good for any time of year. All are gender-neutral.
Honest diapers:
- Honest recently rolled out "Clean Conscious" diapers that are less padded than their original design. They also seem to be better suited to slimmer babies.
- It's nice that they use less material, but they also seem less absorbent. We've had a few more leaks and blowouts with this style.
- About 20 prints to choose from, including a handful of limited edition styles and some classic. There is a mix of gendered and gender-neutral patterns.
Which diaper is the best? We've had the best luck with leak-free wear from Hello Bello diapers. Plus, no matter what prints we choose, we can pass potential leftovers down to friends' babies of any gender.

Hello Bello overnight diapers: Hello Bello offers one option for nighttime diapers, though each pack is loaded up with two different patterns that alternate: snoozing sloths and instrument-wielding woodland critters, both against a dark background. They're beyond cute. Absorbency-wise, they're super reliable and have never leaked for us.
Honest overnight diapers: Honest also offers just one nighttime diaper option: purple diapers printed with sleepy stars, moons, and clouds. They're perhaps a bit feminine-leaning just by virtue of their purple, pink, and yellow colors, but I would put them on a baby boy with no qualms. They're also pretty reliable when it comes to holding in those overnight leads.
Which overnight diaper works the best? Both overnight diapers worked well for us! It really comes down to pattern preference, as each brand offers only one option, but I think both are adorable.

Wipes may seem like a simple concept, but they have a tough job to do: clean up the mess on your baby's bum without causing irritation. Which of these diaper brands strikes the balance most successfully?
Hello Bello wipes: While their dotted woven material offers a textured appearance, Hello Bello wipes are notably soft and light. Sometimes if you give a wipe a really tight squeeze in your hand, they'll drip water, which is not the case with HB wipes—they are moist without being loaded up with liquid. Their plastic lid closes securely so they don't dry up. These are really a smooth wipe.
Honest wipes: Honest wipes look visually similar to Hello Bello wipes, but they have a more textured feel. They're a little more loaded up with water, and they drip when given the squeeze test. They also have a plastic lid that clicks closed, but, unfortunately, the lid has broken off from the package on multiple occasions with regular use. Each time it's happened, the lid has been able to click back on, but it's been inconvenient to have to keep track of a loose extra piece.
Which wipes are the best? Honest wipes are more textured, which can be helpful for messy clean-up, but Hello Bello wipes are softer and gentler on the bum.
