My go-to HelloFresh meals have saved me so much time and money since I discovered them that I had to share them with everyone. These recipes are easy to follow and come with pre-portioned ingredients. I’ve tried over 30 different HelloFresh recipes! Of course, not all the recipes have made a lasting impression but of the ones that have, some are now a part of our permanent rotation. I turn to these recipes whenever I need a quick, delicious meal.
1. Cheesy Fried Eggs Over Nacho Potato Hash – Best for Breakfast
Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 40 min | Calories: 470
To be honest, this was a big surprise for me. After all, it’s just eggs over potato hash. Still, the blend of the smoky red pepper crema, the jalapeño, and the fresh tomatoes instantly transformed my mornings. As a flexitarian, I also loved that this was a hearty veggie option that involved more than oats.
Tip: You can top it off with bacon for meat lovers. Or modify your meal with a side of steak or chicken for a brunch recipe.
2. Hot Honey Brussels & Lemon Ricotta Flatbreads – Best for Lunch
Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 30 min | Calories: 760
At first, I didn’t think this recipe would be a hit. I am ashamed to say that it spent too much time in my fridge waiting to receive the love it deserved! But, this is one of those recipes that blow you away once you taste it. The combination of the cheese, the Brussels sprouts, and the hot honey sauce feel utterly gourmet. I thought I was eating at a restaurant!
Tip: I actually added some roasted chicken, and it was fantastic. I’m sure this recipe would also work with alternatives like turkey, ground beef, bacon, and perhaps even some pork sausage.
3. Sun-Dried Tomato Spaghetti – Best for Weekday Dinners
Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 20 min | Calories: 630
This sun-dried tomato spaghetti with fresh herbs, almonds, and Parmesan is like no other recipe I’ve cooked at home. It’s effortless and can be done in no time, so it became part of my permanent weekday dinner rotation. It honestly is one of those pasta dishes that doesn’t feel like much but is so flavourful that you can’t believe you just cooked it.
Tip: If you want to take it up a notch, you can add shrimp to this dish. Cook the shrimp and remove them from the pan before you start the sauce.
4. Middle Eastern Chickpea Bowls – Best for Meal Prep
Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 40 min | Calories: 750
If you want to eat well every day, it’s time-consuming! HelloFresh made it easy to achieve this by helping to cut back on meal prep time, and this recipe is my go-to make-ahead option for lunch. It has a little bit of everything, and I can add more veggies if I feel like it.
Tip: Because you can pretty much do the majority of this recipe in a pan, I actually throw in a couple of chicken cutlets for my husband on one side. This way, he gets his bowl with chicken while I can have my veggie option.
5. One-Pan Cantina Shrimp Fajitas – Best for Weekend Dinners
Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 20 min | Calories: 660
I signed up for HelloFresh because I want to make restaurant-worthy recipes at home. Before you know it, you’ll eat more home-cooked meals and stop spending on takeout! Recipes like the one-pan cantina fajitas are proof of this. In just around 20 minutes, you can have a restaurant-worthy meal for your family without too much fuss.
Tip: If not everyone is a fan of shrimp, you can cook pork, steak, or chicken on the side. This way, you can cater to everyone’s tastes. You could also turn these into veggie fajitas, I like to sub in chickpeas.
