Swap. Try different like-to-like ingredients. For example, now you can swap pork strips for chicken strips. As someone who doesn't eat pork, this is a dream.
Add. After trying some recipes, you know that sometimes you want a bit extra. Need more bacon for my husband's pasta? Now I can add extras. Or maybe if you want to add shrimp to your lemon pasta, well, you can!
Upgrade. I loved the idea of premium recipes, but I've always skipped them to keep myself under budget. Now, I'm happy I can upgrade certain ingredients (for a little extra), like upgrading my chicken for a fresh salmon filet.

- Preview next week's menu. Did you know you can preview menus for the upcoming 5 weeks on the HelloFresh website? Review options and save recipes. This will save you time when customizing.
- Pick any option without fear. There are over 12 options of proteins and sides per week to swap, add or upgrade and you can rest assured that HelloFresh has tested every variation and provides you with the same step-by-step guidance no matter what you choose.
- Keep upgrades for all-time favorites. Some upgrades increase the price of that specific meal, so make sure you do it on a recipe you absolutely would love to try. For example, changing the pork sausage on risotto for shrimp seems the perfect idea to elevate a meal from average to date-night quality.
