I know I can’t be alone riding the struggle bus that is finding good shapewear. Sometimes it feels downright impossible to find pieces that check all my boxes and last longer than a few wears.
Over the past few months, I’ve been trying different brands to see what I like (and a lot of what I don’t), and one brand has far surpassed the others in terms of quality, comfort, and size inclusivity: Honeylove. It’s absolutely my go-to shapewear brand now, and here’s why:
1. Shapewear that rolls down
There is nothing more frustrating than your shapewear rolling down under your clothes. I’ve had this happen too often and not only is it extremely uncomfortable, it’s kind of embarrassing, too. My Honeylove shapewear never rolls down (even while dancing), and it all comes down to the boning they have on the side and the back that keeps it from moving.
2. Compression so tight, it's hard to breathe
This is a huge point for me! Tummy compression is the first thing I look for in choosing shapewear, but typically this comes at a pretty steep cost: shallow breaths! This is the experience that I had with Spanx, which had incredible tummy control, but I found myself winded throughout the night due to the tight fit across my diaphragm. Honeylove shapewear has targeted compression, giving me the same tummy control without that air-stealing squeeze so I can breathe.
3. Flat pancake booty syndrome
As mentioned before, having tummy compression is extremely important to me, but most brands that have good tummy compression tend to flatten out the behind too. I prefer a curvy silhouette; I want a flat tummy and a full rear too, please. Thanks to Honeylove’s BoostBand, my thighs stay smooth and I get a nice lift to my bottom without flattening it.
4. Visible panty lines
Thick thighs save lives, yet here we are in 2023 still dealing with shapewear that cuts into our legs and leaves our panty lines exposed! Honeylove uses mesh on the leg and “boost bands” under the booty area to ensure a smooth, line-free bottom without all that spandex digging in where it doesn’t belong.
5. Lower price for lesser quality
The most important thing I have learned throughout my journey of finding my favorite shapewear is: don’t always look at the price. If the price tag seems too good to be true, that's because it probably is. A high-quality piece of shapewear that you love is well worth the extra coin. Trust me, I learned this the hard way when my brand new Skims ripped on my wedding day…
Honeylove garments are super durable and built to last, and since I won’t have to replace them as frequently as the alternative, I’m saving a lot of money overtime. Win-win, right?
After trying Honeylove and seeing how high quality the fabric is and how comfortable and confident I felt wearing it, I knew I could never choose another shapewear brand again. If you’re experiencing any of the above, you MUST give Honeylove a try!
