Is This Dermaplaner Actually Worth The Hype? I Put It to The Test

As someone who loves to play around with makeup, I’m always looking for ways to make it look better and last longer. From primers to moisturizers to setting sprays, my vanity is overflowing with products meant to create a flawless finish.

But there was still one problem: peach fuzz. No matter what I layered under my makeup, the peach fuzz on my cheeks, chin, upper lip, and even my nose would always poke through, making my foundation look blotchy.

I’ve tried shaving with regular razors and dermaplaning with tools from the drugstore, but those only left me with razor burn and ingrown hairs—causing my makeup to look even worse.

So when I started getting ads for the Dermaflash Luxe+ on Instagram, I was skeptical. Why would I spend the time and money on this beauty tool only to end up with irritated skin again? But after seeing its ads a couple more times and reading its glowing reviews, I decided it’d be worth a try. After all, my peach fuzz wasn’t going away on its own.

Here’s what happened:

My skin is super smooth without any irritation

Razor burn and ingrown hairs hurt—a lot. They’re the reason I stopped dermaplaning in the first place. No matter which drugstore brand I tried, I was always left with red, bumpy skin.

That wasn’t the case with the Dermaflash Luxe+. It has microfine edges that are super gentle on the skin, while still being able to remove every trace of peach fuzz and dead skin. It also has built-in safety features to prevent accidental nicks and scrapes.

All I had to do was prep my skin with the included cleanser and then glide the tool over my trouble spots… that was it!

My skin was instantly smoother and I didn’t have a single sign of irritation. I kid you not, my skin felt like I just had a luxurious facial.

I saw clearer skin and noticeable anti-aging benefits

As harmless as peach fuzz may seem, it actually causes a lot of skin problems. Dirt and oil builds up in its follicles, which can cause breakouts, wrinkles, and dull skin. That’s why I’ve always prioritized exfoliating—to really remove whatever grossness is stuck on the surface and below it.

With the Dermaflash Luxe+, my skin is glowing. It exfoliates so well that I’ve tossed out my exfoliation masks. This beauty tool is my new go-to! I use it once each week and have noticed that my skincare products absorb better, and I appear brighter and just healthier overall.

And after four weeks of using it, my skin felt tighter and looked more even. I have its boosted sonic speed to thank for that—it improves cellular turnover, which is key for fighting signs of aging.

My makeup looks flawless

Peach fuzz has always caused my foundation to get trapped, making it harder to get a smooth, even base. I could spend hours blending with brushes and sponges to just end up with a cakey and blotchy finish. To say it was frustrating would be an understatement.

But because the Dermaflash Luxe+ gently removes my peach fuzz entirely—even from the most sensitive spots, like my upper lip—my makeup goes on easier and smoother, making it look airbrushed. It’s my not-so-secret hack for getting a flawless, even finish.

The Dermaflash Luxe+ is now a staple in my beauty routine

Despite my (and my sensitive skin’s) hesitation to try the Dermaflash Luxe+, I’m so glad I did. My skin is so smooth and I feel like I look like a refreshed, younger, and more radiant version of myself. And the fact that my hair hasn’t grown back thicker or darker is just a bonus—I know it’s a myth, but still.

I paid $199 (free shipping) for this beauty tool and I’d gladly do it all over again because of how well it works and how long it’s made my other skincare products last. Run, don't walk, to try it out!
