For Natural, Full, Skin-like Coverage…Joah Beauty
I’m absolutely obsessed with the way Joah Beauty’s Hydrating Eye Serum Concealer looks on my skin. Upon first application, it blended out really easily and melted into my skin like butter. It has such a beautiful, hydrating finish that looks like my skin, but better.
I was able to find the perfect shade that cancels out my under eye darkness while providing the perfect amount of coverage. My under-eyes look bright, even, and as if I’ve had the best sleep in the world!
In comparison, Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser also delivers full coverage but with a matte finish. Unfortunately, this finish makes my under-eyes appear drier, which isn’t ideal for a flawless, natural look.
For Skincare Benefits…Joah Beauty
It’s 2024, and if your makeup doesn’t have skincare ingredients, you’re doing it wrong! Joah is infused with ceramides, which hydrate the under eyes, and peptides, which help firm the skin.
I’ve noticed improvements to my skin’s hydration, and my puffiness has decreased since using this product. I appreciate that my under eyes are improving over time, while also providing amazing coverage!
Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Eraser, while mildly hydrating, doesn’t offer the same long-term skincare benefits. It provides temporary coverage without the added skincare perks, which just doesn’t cut it for me anymore.
For Budget-Friendly Options…It’s a tie!
When it comes to price, both Joah’s Hydrating Eye Serum Concealer and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser are neck and neck. Joah is priced at $11.99 and Maybelline at $10.99. Seriously, both concealers are super affordable options.
If you’re all about pinching pennies, Maybelline saves you that precious dollar. But honestly, splurging just a tad more for Joah’s added skincare benefits and gorgeous finish feels like a steal!
For Zero Creasing……Joah Beauty
Both products offer great long-lasting coverage, Maybelline boasting a 12 hour long wear. However, I do notice some creasing with Maybelline as the day goes on, which is disappointing.
Joah, on the other hand, offered just as long lasting coverage with zero creasing - I was amazed at how fresh my skin continued to look all day long! I also use it as a highlighter and to conceal blemishes all over my face - and anywhere I’ve applied it, it has looked fantastic. It never settled into my lines, and my imperfections continued to look covered and blurred all day.
My Ultimate Winner…Joah Beauty
Joah Hydrating Eye Serum Concealer is an instant winner in my book. From the beautiful, natural-looking full coverage it provides, to skin benefiting ingredients, to a formula that just melts right into the skin with ease - it really does it all when it comes to a concealer.
