PrimeEyes vs. Thrive Infinity: The Eyeliner Showdown Tailored for Timeless Beauty

I’ve been a beauty enthusiast for years, and as I’ve matured, I’ve faced new challenges with my makeup routine. Smudging eyeliner and dealing with sensitive skin have become daily frustrations. Determined to find the perfect solution once and for all, I decided to put two highly-rated eyeliners to the test: Prime Prometics PrimeEyes Eyeliner ($28) and Thrive Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner ($22).

Here’s what I discovered about which one TRULY caters to the needs of mature women 👇.

If you want an eyeliner that is formulated for mature skin… PrimeEyes

PrimeEyes is made specifically for mature women, and that really comes across in its unbeatable, water-resistant formula. I've never come across another eyeliner that:

  • Blends as easily as PrimeEyes (I like using the smudger) while
  • Settling into crisp lines with absolutely zero bleeding on my lids

Additionally, I really appreciate that PrimeEyes shows models who are in my age bracket and older. Not only does it show me how their product works on mature skin, but I really love that they celebrate older women wearing makeup because it’s not like once you turn 40 *POP* you’ve lost all of your previous interests.

So props to PrimeEyes for representing those of us who remember life before the internet.

If easy application is a must… PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner

Never tug on your eyes again. The PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner has both the precision of a pencil and the smoothness of a gel.

The product has a smooth gel-cream texture which glides easily over wrinkled lids thanks to ingredients such as avocado oil and olive oil. With its sturdy, light-touch tip, I've mastered the art of applying my eyeliner in less than 15 seconds with zero smudging.

For us OG beauty enthusiasts, achieving a precise line with ease is a game-changer. The Thrive Infinity Waterproof eyeliner leans more towards a traditional pencil-like experience so while it has a similarly fine tip, the formula doesn’t provide the effortless glide that the PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner does.

If you want eyeliner in every color of the rainbow… Thrive Infinity

PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner comes in five colors: Kohl (black), Wood (brown), Sapphire (navy blue), and some newly released colors including Smoky (grey) and Emerald (deep green). I’ve lived through the era of bolder and brighter eye looks and it’s one trend I’m not keen on revisiting. But if you’re looking for more adventurous eyeliner colors, check out Thrive for more shade options like Jade (teal shimmer) or Alondra (aubergine shimmer). Thrive offers eight different colorful shades!

If you have sensitive skin around the eyes… PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner!

Both the PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner and Thrive Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner are ophthalmologist-tested and contain hyaluronic acid to help condition lashes and moisturize the sensitive skin around our eyes.

However, only the PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner is stated to be hypoallergenic and pH-balanced so I would recommend it for anyone with extra sensitive eyes.

The Ultimate Winner… PrimeEyes Eyeliner

I love the PrimeEyes Glide Eyeliner for its unique buttery gel-cream texture that doesn’t bleed and looks natural. The crisp lines last all day and the velvety formula is buildable for days when I want a little more oomph. To me, spending $28 on an eyeliner that lasts me 3+ months is totally worth it!

Best of all, it works great on my “mature” skin so I don’t feel like my makeup is aging me. Here's to timeless beauty, effortlessly achieved with PrimeEyes.
