Ladies, are you tired of scrolling through endless pages of makeup products, trying to find the perfect multitasking makeup for your unique style and skin type?
I’m someone who loves minimalistic, easy-to-apply makeup, so I’m a big fan of makeup sticks. I’m diving in and comparing two popular stick trios, Prime Prometics’ PrimeWand Trinity and BOOM!’s Boomstick Trio, to find out which product clearly outperformed the other.
If you’re seeking that natural glow… PrimeWand Trinity
It’s no secret that our skin loses moisture as we age, so we have to be extra vigilant about getting our glow back. The first product in the PrimeWand Trinity pack is the PrimeWand Nourish stick, which is an on-the-go-moisturizer full of bioactive nutrients, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, virgin coconut oil, and avocado oil. It’s perfectly formulated for my dry, over-50 skin.
The second product, the PrimeWand Pigment stick, is a universal berry/wine tint that brings buildable color back into my face. The PrimeWand Pearl highlighter has actual pearl extract for a luminous finish! I look positively radiant when I use all three, and it’s bringing my confidence back. The trio stayed put all day, so I didn’t have to touch up in the afternoon.
All of the PrimeWand Trinity products have hydrating oils and premium ingredients like hyaluronic acid and bioactive and herb blends, so it’s not just makeup–it’s skincare, too. My first thought was how much the products felt like moisturizers because they actually are!
The Boomstick Trio, which also comes with three sticks (Glo, Color, and Glimmer), just doesn’t quite measure up. Overall, they didn’t have as much of a buildable “glow” like Prime Prometics’ formulas did.
If you’re looking for versatility… PrimeWand Trinity
Both products are pretty comparable on the versatility front: PrimeWand Trinity and Boomstick Trio each have a moisturizer, a multitasking pigment, and a highlighter.
However, the PrimeWand Pigment really shines here: the berry tint helps conceal age spots and other skin imperfections, and even heals them on the spot thanks to healing ingredients like beet extract and honey. When I use it, my skin looks even, flushed, and glowy.
PrimeWand Pigment can also be used in so many ways, including as a bronzer/contour and eyeshadow. Personally, I felt like the Boomstick Color only really worked as blush.
If you’re looking to touch up on-the-go… it's a tie
Both products are certainly versatile, but both products come with 3 sticks, which isn’t always practical for women who are always on the move. On busy days, I find myself throwing the PrimeWand Pigment into my bag because the buildable coverage makes it easy to create both understated daytime looks and dramatic nighttime looks.
Something I really appreciated was that the Boomstick Trio does come with a canvas bag, which is a great added touch!
If you want to get ready in about 5 minutes or less … PrimeWand Trinity
Prime Prometics claims you’ll be able to achieve a full face in just 2 minutes when you use the PrimeWand Pigment. I put all 3 products to the test, and I completed my look in under 5 minutes.
I dabbed the Pigment on the apples of my cheeks, swiped it on my lips as lipstick, and used it as a contour to tighten up my jawline. I didn’t need to use an entire suite of brushes and sponges, too - just my fingers!
Alternatively, The Boomstick Trio takes a bit longer to apply. Their website claims a 5-minute application, and I found that to be mostly true, but it took slightly longer to blend it out. Both options are relatively quick, but the winner goes to PrimeWand Trinity for ease of use.
My Final Winner… PrimeWand Trinity
Both PrimeWand Trinity and Boomstick Trio have their strengths, but for me, the PrimeWand Trinity comes out on top. The ability to achieve a flattering, dewy look in record time is key for me, and I just absolutely love the way the products stay All. Day. Long! The PrimeWand Trinity products are the only ones you need–trust me!
