The Tovala Smart Oven has 5 functions that are combined into one classy appliance. It bakes, it broils, it toasts, it reheats without sacrificing texture, and it air fries. The wild thing is how it can do it automatically for any food you scan!
Let’s backtrack for a moment. During setup you’ll download the Tovala app and get the oven connected to your wifi. Then you’ll see you can do all sorts of things from your phone, like order fresh, delivered meals and scan-to-cook recipes for your own kitchen creations ranging from chicken wings to pumpkin bread and beyond.
Tovala's meals are chef-prepared
If you’re a Costco regular, you’ve probably got some of their frozen meals in your usual rotation—I’m looking at you, Kirkland Signature cheese pizza and rotisserie chicken. Most of what you’ll find in the giant fridges are compatible with Tovala’s scan-to-cook feature. So crazy convenient.
But you can (and should) also subscribe to receive Tovala Meals. Trained chefs do the behind-the-scenes prep so you just have to scan, cook, and eat. In addition to the Tovala Meals and hundreds of scannable brand name grocery products you might find in Costco, you can also cook from the Tovala app’s library of recipes or use your own recipes – basically anything you’d cook in your conventional oven. It's easy to manually select your cooking method (toast, bake, broil, or air fry), temperature (up to 450 degrees), and time.
Scan it, load it up, & get a ping when it’s ready
Back to the automatic perfect cooking thing: this convection oven cooks multiple components of one meal in one fell swoop, and in 25 minutes or less. So, for Tofu Tamarind Noodles, the tofu and the noodles are simultaneously cooked to perfection.
For Salmon Quinoa Salad, the salmon filet and the veggie-filled grains both ding at the same time, and neither is overcooked. Chicken and veggies both have the right texture. Lentils are perfectly tender.
The magical oven knows exactly what to do because you’ll scan the QR code at the top of your meal’s info card, and then the oven pulls the exact cooking modes, time, and temps for the best results from the cloud. The only prep that’s required of you is plopping your protein in the provided tray and adding some sauce at the end. Oh, and enjoying every bite of such low-effort masterpieces.
