The Big Secret the Wine Industry Doesn’t Want You to Know: How to Get $100+ Wines for $15

I know my headline is a bit clickbaity but I promise there’s no catch. Cameron Hughes Wine builds strong relationships with winemakers to source the finest wines around the world to offload excess stock. That’s corporate wording to say Cameron Hughes negotiates with fine wine producers to give their leftovers the second life they deserve.

Put simply, find out how I score high-quality wines that usually sell for $100+ for just $15!

The Wine Industry’s Little Secret

Although hard to believe, many wineries have inventory problems. This leaves them with excess stock. Instead of pouring wine down the drain, these wineries have found a friend in Cameron Hughes Wine. They have a very close (and secret) relationship with top wineries to buy their excess stock at a discounted price.

Obviously, this only works because Cameron Hughes Wine keeps this very top-secret. Otherwise, why would someone buy the branded version of these bottles?

Thanks to that, we can get a $100+ Cabernet for under $20! And it’s the exact same wine sold under the original winery label.

Think of it as buying a sample designer garment for less. Both dresses come from the designer’s atelier. One just doesn’t have the hefty designer price tag.

Fancier Wine Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated (Or Expensive)

Although I usually stay under $30, my husband and I like to cook and have date nights. For those occasions, I want to buy premium wines, which can get expensive!

Still, while I consider myself a wine enthusiast, and so does my husband, we couldn’t tell the difference between the red blend that Cameron Hughes Wine sent me (that sells for $14) versus the fancy red blend I get from Whole Foods (The Prisoner) that usually costs me $55.

Like I said, fancier wine doesn’t always equal expensive wine.

Hear me out: Easier-to-understand wines are possible!

Do you know that moment when you’re staring at a wall of wines trying to channel your inner sommelier? If you’re anything like me, once overwhelming frustration sinks in, you just grab the bottle with the prettiest label and call it a day.

I’ve done that more times than I care to remember.

The problem with this method is that I usually forget which wine I picked. So, if I like it, the odds of finding it again are close to zero.

Cameron Hughes Wine actually labels their wines by lot numbers.

For example, I received Lot 842. It was a Southern French Red Blend from 2019. I really enjoyed this red blend: dark, rich, and fruity. What I loved more was that I could just type “Lot 842” on their website and get the same bottle.

It’s so easy to buy wine this way.

I Don’t Like Keeping Secrets So…

Whenever I find a deal this good, I like to share it!

When I learned about Cameron Hughes Wine, I was blown away. I was a bit angry with myself too. How had I never heard about it before? I don’t want to calculate how much money I could have saved.

Even my husband was shocked when I told him about these $100+ wines I scored at $14. He couldn’t believe something like Cameron Hughes Wine existed! But as always, he figured if someone would learn about these sorts of deals, it would be me.

I won’t buy wine the same way now that I know about this little secret. How could I, if I can get all the varieties of wines I love, including my new all-time favorite Malbec, at a much better price.
