Aside from walking out of the Hair Color Bar with hair that’s amazing every time, my favorite part of going to a Madison Reed salon is the community aspect. For an outgoing gal like me, I’m in my comfort zone. So much chatting and connecting—with my stylist, with other patrons, with my mom.
My mom spends a lot of time with her home to herself, so she craves interaction, but she takes more time to warm up to conversation. I’ve noticed on our couple of shared Madison Reed appointments so far that her walls come down quickly. How could they not with everyone doling out genuine compliments to each other? The stylists there always make her feel very at ease and truly listen to what she wants for her hair.

The old us were always complaining about our roots because we were resistant to the investment and logistics of having our hair colored as often as we needed it. Since starting up with our Madison Reed roots membership, our regular 4-week touch-ups are like a well-oiled machine—and a really fun built-in mother-daughter outing. Truth is, this membership makes it affordable for us.
Of course, life happens and if we ever have to miss our appointment, I love that we can take our color on the go and touch up at home. With our membership, we can also visit any Hair Color Bar location (there are over 85!) and beyond those regular root touch-ups, we get discounts on all products and services, early access to new products, birthday gifts, and $10 for every $300 spent.
The membership itself is reasonable but the extra perks make it so worth it! You can cancel anytime but the priceless perk is that we’re both more pleasant to be around now that we have our root touch-up routine in place.
