Why I Got My Husband Freebird To Shave His Head

It came as a shock when I heard my husband finally say: I’m ready to shave my head

As his personal home barber, I wasn’t sure how I would finesse my only client’s head into being as smooth as can be without nicking him at every corner.

Then a lightbulb went off: Freebird. We have multiple family members who rock the sleek bald look, and this efficient, ergonomic head shaver is what they use. Never have I made a purchase as swiftly as I did the FlexSeries electric head shaver from Freebird, and a week later I was out of a job in the best of ways. Here’s how it went down:

The first shave was delightful

Alongside being the lady who landed the job of cutting my guy’s hair, I also held the not-so-fun position of breaking it to him when it was time for a haircut. So I viewed this first Freebird shave as my retirement party, serving roles of the instructions-reader, co-pilot, and eyes in the back of his head.

👨🏼‍🦲First we used the Precision Clipper attachment to trim the longest strands down to stubble.

👨🏼‍🦲Then we applied Pre-Shave Oil to the blades for lubrication. (You could alternately put Shave Gel directly to his scalp, but rubbing oil onto blades felt thrillingly dangerous.)

👨🏼‍🦲Finally, he launched from the nest, taking the shaver with its ScalpSafe™️ blades into his own hands. And he shaved the stubble down to a smooth surface.

👨🏼‍🦲The Post-Shave Lotion is the head hydration that has his scalp looking and feeling spectacular.

The maintenance is a dream

BEFORE

The initial shave was exciting, but the gold is in the maintenance. It takes my husband literally two minutes (sometimes less, depending on whether or not he skipped a day) to zip around and touch up his whole head.

It’s a super-close shave with effortless handling, and going the Freebird route virtually eliminates the risk of ingrown hairs and irritation because of how its blades are positioned. It’s suited to any skin or hair type, and it can be used dry or wet, including in the shower.

The BEST part, and we both agree about this, is that the shaver has a hair trap to collect the stubble it’s just removed. The easier cleanup has improved our life in tangible ways.

The kit takes good care of your dome

The FlexSeries® Shaving Kit comes with 5 shaving attachments: the precision clippers we used for the first shave, a nose and ear trimmer (amazing for older men!), an exfoliation brush for buffing dead skin cells and preventing ingrowns, a scalp scrubber for exfoliating head care, and a micro-cleaning brush to clear tiny hairs out of all the small spaces in your shaver. Such a good experience!

For those who geek out on the details, the shaver itself has an 8,500 RPM motor and a 600mAh li-Ion rechargeable battery that charges by USB. That means you’ll get over 60 minutes from a single charge. The device itself has an LED power status indicator so you can be certain you won’t get cut off mid-shave.

Freebird’s FlexSeries is the greatest gift for the bald man you love

The FlexSeries by Freebird makes an epic gift that positively impacts the day-to-day, letting your favorite bald person take head shaving into their own hands, and doing it quickly, efficiently, safely, and tidily—everyone wins.

If you’ve fallen into becoming your partner’s barber like I did, you’ll agree that it’s a gift you’ll both enjoy. The FlexSeries normally costs $99.95, but it’s currently on sale for $39.95, which includes the 5 free attachments, a 30-day trial, and a lifetime warranty. By being the person to introduce this life-changing device, you automatically get dibs on giving their head the first rub for good luck!
